[ Maybe there's a place we won't feel so crazy. ]

[ Things were becoming unpredictable as days went by. ]

[ "Kait!" I called out her name down the echoic hallway, I ran as fast as my legs could take me and caught up with her. Gasping for oxygen, I held her hand and tried to pace my breathing. She let out a little chuckle and pulled me into a short hug. A smile was established on my face, she was the only one I could ever ask for. ]

[ Those memories soon began to fade. ]

I wanted time with Kaitlyn, alone. I wanted her presence all to myself. Her enveloping love, her gazes, her warm cuddles and her smiles. What if someone else had it all instead? I thought I was selfish for thinking that.

I was alone in my house that night, I had an uneasy sense of loneliness. Suddenly, my cell phone buzzed mildly, I shot a quick glance and saw Kaitlyn's name on a text. She threw me a little heads-up before making her way to my house. Oh right, it was our second month together, it was supposed to be a special occasion. I was so caught up in my relentless thoughts that I did not even remember.

I heard a little knock on my door and I went to answer it, Kaitlyn was dressed in a beautiful, stunning floral printed dress, I gave her a kiss on the cheeks and pulled her in. My parents were out on a trip, leaving me alone at home, but they would send allowance back every week. Kaitlyn and I were in my room, cuddling close together on my California king watching a trending movie series. It was something that couples would usually do.

I wasn't focusing on the movie. Instead, I was playing with streaks of her jet-black hair. My fingers ran down her hair like silk and she just smiled and glanced at me. "Oh right! My essay!" I said as I jumped out of the bed. "The deadline's by 12 tonight!" I ran to my laptop and started typing out gibberish in panic. "Don't worry, you still have time!" Kaitlyn giggled and smiled at me. I felt like an idiot, a really blessed one.

We spent nearly two hours trying to complete my essay before the deadline. It was a graded essay and I had to get it done. "Finally!" I said with a euphoric sense of freedom, however, Kaitlyn had to be back home before midnight. I let out a little sigh and helped her get her stuff.

I offered to walk her home but she declined, I did anyway. We were walking under the vague, luscious moonlight and there was a moment of silence. "It's okay, I enjoyed it today!" Kaitlyn cheerfully comforted me. Her house was just a few more steps ahead, I felt very incomplete, we didn't really do anything much today. We paused in our footsteps for a moment and I pulled Kaitlyn into a cozy hug and I felt much better. "I should get back home now, it's half past twelve and there's school tomorrow!" as I slowly retreated from the hug and took a few steps away from her.

"I love you!" She shouted loudly and her words resounded into the airy atmosphere.

[ I should have really treasured my time with her... ]
