Alone again, I walked away from the fight that had just been underway. It had been this was for a long time. After Zero appeared, Yuki had given up all interest in me. I suppose she sees him as still injured and wanted to help him. She didn't see that us keeping our distance was what was good for her. Her whole family was demolished by the things Zero and I were part of. Zero and I were part of night and day, we walked a path Yuki could not.
Then why did Kaname have such an interest in her? Purebloods were known to have human pets, but Kaname didn't seem the type. Kaname was silent and calculating; it was hard to decipher if he was acting on emotions or just plain acting. Yuki should keep her distance, even from him.
Suddenly, the world spun and I leaned on one of the many campus buildings. Goddammit, I shakingly pulled out a small container of red pills and dry-swallowed two. My iron levels must have been low. This was one of the negative side effects for my human side, that I needed more meats to sustain myself.
“Anna," a voice sounded from up above. It was Kaien on the balcony above me. I looked around me for any late-night wanderers, but found none. I didn't hesitate to leap up 12 feet and land perfectly next to the headmaster.
“You scare me when you do that,” headmaster commented while clutching his heart.
I shrugged, “It's night time and you're one of the only people that know: I wanted to let some steam off.”
“Yes, I'm aware. Anyways, are you well?”
I clasped my hands together, “As right as I ever am.”
“I just saw you almost collapse, dear. Do we need to visit Dr. Icen, again? We haven't upped your dose in two years,” Kaien was obviously worried. I hated doctors.
“I'm fine, it's just been a long week with St. Xocolatl's Day and all,” I answered quickly, “Humans and vampires are like oil and water, but a bit more annoying.”
Kaien laughed, “I guess, you're right. Why don't you go to bed? Yuki and Zero can handle it.”
I nodded, I had homework to finish. “Thanks, have a good night, dad.”
The headmaster squealed and gave me a hug, “Sleep tight, dearie.”
I smiled and leapt opened the door to his quarters. I would use the hot water while I could. Screw Yuki and Zero and their seniority bullshit.

Today was the dorm inspection day and everyone was upset. Throughout school I had received death glares from the fanatic teenage girls at the school.
And then the inspection started. Photo after photo after photo, I don't even want to think about how many times they've masturbated to these photos. It's gross.
“You're so mean, Annabel! You don't understand!”
“I get they're pretty, but having these photos without consent in against school policy. They're banned.”
Slowly, Yuki and I hauled the contraband up the spiral stone steps. Zero was nowhere in sight.
“Where is Zero? Why are we always doing everything by ourselves?” Yuki complained.
I shrugged, “He's probably taking a nap. We can do this, it's not too heavy.”
Besides, it's me that's always working by themself.

We headed side by side to the night class dorms. A place I have never been to before.
