As a few days pass by where Kate gets a little bit bigger and as Kate is sleeping she feels something in her stomach that she has never felt before but then she puts a panic/ happy look on her face

Kate: sorry that I woke you I'm just not used to the pups kicking
Humphrey: THEY KICKED
Kate: Yes Humphrey, they started just now
Humphrey: may I touch
Kate: you dont have to ask my love
Humphrey goes close to Kate's go belly and puts his face against it and starts to lick and says
Humphrey: I will protect and love you for as long as the moon exists and I love your moony so much too

Humphrey: it's very true, *put his paws on the belly,*, I think I fell 2 WAIT 3 nope 2, those are some kickers
Kate: ya they take up after there parents
Humphrey: I could do this all day

They fall asleep while hugging each other, then the next day, the sun comes up and the wolfs wake up

Humphrey goes and gets carbo and Kate wakes over to her mother and fathers den where they are about to leave for there trip but Kate wants to talk to her mom for one last thing
Eve: hello my beautiful growing daughter, is Humphrey treating you well giving you all you need BECAUSE IF HE DOESNT I WIL-
Kate: mom he's doing great for food and with my mood swings and everything
Eve: that's good sweetie and make sure it stays that way when me and your father leave
Kate: where is dad by the way
Eve: your father went to go clear a few things up since we will be away for a bit
Kate: tell him I said I hope you have a good trip and I love him
Eve: I will sweetie and tell Humphrey he better do good
Kate: I will mom and I hope you have a safe trip mom I love you

Eve leaves the den for the trip when Humphrey comes back with the carbo in his Mouth and pushes it towards Kate's so she can eat it
Humphrey: dang it did I miss your mom just leave
Kate: ya she just left before you came and thank you my love for wine carbo
