100 YEARS LATER

I woke to the flames eating at the stone around me, to horror of death and war, and moaning of the dead, I looked around only my neck moving see dead bodies and shadows all around some of the body's burning some leaning against ancient destroyed palace war for some reason some shadows were burning as well, but the palace though ancient looked like it defied the very sky unwilling to fall but to great sadness it fell many years ago to a storm of fire breathing serpents. 3 thoughts went through my head. How did I get here? Why am I here? Who am I?
I saw a leering demonic face above me then it just vanished with a spine shivering laugh.
I sat up that was a mistake cause suddenly pain went through me like a spear through a boar and shadows reappeared in my site then silence.
Then suddenly colour came rushing into my head a dream, a stray thought lost to the eye of my mind, slippery and lost, a face filled with sadness but not just any face but a lovely one like that of an elvish queen and her eyes were like amethysts with stars trapped inside. Then the dream ended and I was lost in oblivion.
I awoke to the scary faces of masked Doctors but what made them scary was their masks were made out of skulls mixes of human and animal but despite my fear and through pure instinct.
I asked"were there any survivors besides me"their faces became grim like an untold darkness lingered in them.
But the darkness soon passed from their faces and one of the Doctors replied"one but it ain't pretty what happened to her''.
"Lost her legs" another added just as a scream from behind a curtain came rushing at us "thought we sedated her so she can't feel the pain" a third doctor replies "I'll give her another sedative" said the doctor as he rushed off.

The remaining doctors looked at me like something is wrong, but I soon got my answer "you should be dead! You got a stab wound to the heart and we were measuring you for a coffin, well I guess we won't need these masks anymore these are used when we are dealing with dead people and your not dead" they said as they remove their masks, my blood slowly drained from my face and began to freeze when I heard what they said about how I was supposed to be dead, I was lost and bewildered and finally I relaxed letting my blood course through me.

The other doctors walked off to where the girl lay still screaming but I just caught a glimpse of her before the curtain closed behind the doctors. She was lying there wild eyed with pain and sweat soaking everything then another scream like that of someone being tortured.
