I walk out the field house and the next thing i know I am on the ground looking up at the tan body of Carson. I look up into his hazel eyes and I know I am putty in his hands. "Hey there, I'm sorry for making you fall." He holds his hand out and I grab it as he pulls me up. I wipe my shorts off and I say "That's okay, I'm a cluts. But thanks for helping me up." I smile and I turn away to go to the field feeling his eyes watching me. I go through practice like usual then as I'm walking back to the field house to change and get ready to go home I see the boy's lacrosse team practicing and I stand there and watch them and I can't believe how rough they are. I shudder and then I walk away and into the field house to go change. I slide my high waisted shorts on and my crop top that matches then I slide my black Vans on my feet and grab my soccer bag as i pull my hair up into a messy bun and pulls out my keys to my 1999 Ford Ranger out of my bag and walks out looking at my texts on my phone. I look up and slide my phone into my back pocket and I see Carson standing against my truck smiling at me. "Hey Clarissa. Can I get a ride home? My parents took my car and none of the guys want to take me home." I look into his eyes and then down to his plump full lips and then back up and says "Sure, get in." I try not to say a lot so I don't look or sound like an idiot. I get into the drivers seat and puts my keys in and starts to drive. Carson is the captain of our boy's lacrosse team and is being scouted by many schools across the United States. He was cool, rich, and very athletic. Every single girl wanted him and right now he was sitting my truck like everything was okay. I lean over and turn on "She Looks So Perfect" by 5 Seconds of Summer on the radio and start to sing it. I keep both hands tight on the wheel trying not to look over at Carson too much so he doesn't think I am staring at him. "So, how was practice?" he says after 5 minutes of silent only music playing. "It was good, we are just getting ready for the big home game, what about yours?" I look over at him and I feel like putty in his hands when I look into his hazel eyes. "Our practice was good. I think the girls are doing really well so far this season if they had more girls join the team. No one knows about the sport and they don't want to try out for it. You look like you would play lacrosse though Clarissa, do you think you would ever switch sports?" I turn my head towards him and I say "I don't know, I am great at soccer and also it looks like it very rough." He starts to laugh and I look away blush. "No Clarissa, only the guys are rough. The girls can't touch eachother unless they are checking with their sticks. There is a lot of rule differences but it is an amazing sport. I saved me," he looks down and then runs his fingers through his black hair and then back up at me and by that time I am pulling into his driveway. "Thank you again Clarissa for the ride." He gives a soft smile and then gets out grabbing his stick and padding and his bag and into the big house that I could fit 2 of my houses into.

I pull out of his driveway and start my 30 minute drive home. I turn up the radio when I hear 'Classic' by MKTO start playing and I start to sing every word to it.

'I wanna thrill you like Michael, I wanna kiss you like Prince, Let’s get it on like Marvin Gaye, Like Hathaway, Write a song for you like this.'

I sing as I drive down the highway. I look down at my phone to see what time it is and it is already 6:50PM and I know I have to hurry up and get home before Mom and Dad are calling me worrying about me. I finally pull into the driveway around 7:20PM and I grab my bag out of the back of the truck and I walk into the small cottage like house. I am an only child so the house isn't that big because no one is ever in it. I always have soccer or school, Dad has work out of town a lot, and Mom she is always doing something for the town. I hear the water in the kitchen running so I walk in to see what we are having for dinner and there sits my plate of baked chicken, smashed potatoes, and brocolli. "Hey Mom." I say as I grab my plate and I hug her and says "thank you," and I walk into my room across the hall. I grab my phone and my books as I plug my phone up and put my headphones in and listen to music while I eat and do my homework. The next time I look up from my books it is 11PM and I put it up in my bookbag and I change into a pair of pajama pants and a tank top and I climb into bed and watch some videos on YouTube until I feel my phone vibrate and it is Carson.

'How did he get my number? What was wrong? What did he need? What did he say?' were questions floating around my head when I saw "Hey, it's Carson. This is Clarissa right?" I text him back saying it was me and I asked him what's up and I locked my phone listening to some music and closing my eyes until I felt my phone on my chest vibrate again.
