A Sleepless Night

Although Alucard rests within his coffin, he couldn't sleep even for just once. All that he could hear in his mind is the voice of the huntress. No matter how many times he try to shut his eyes to slumber, he still couldn't since his first meeting with Jun had captivated him. He briefly showed an emotion through the smile he gave her after helping her get back on her feet.

He may be emotionless, broken-hearted and cold because of his mother's death, Alucard could still express any emotion, but doesn't show it. But what would he feel when he and the huntress meet again? How would he feel when the girl confessed her love for him?

As he try to close his eyes again, memories of the huntress flash within his mind.

Flashback

While heading out of the catacombs, Alucard notices her jade pendant around her neck.

"What is that around your neck? Is that an artifact?" He asked.

"This?" Jun holds her pendant. "Yes... it is. It's one of the three imperial regalias back at my nation. This is the Yasakani no Magatama. In ancient times, the regalias were used by the sun goddess as weapons against the evil god's horde." She replied.

"So they're like....sacred weapons." Alucard thought.

"Exactly." She said with a confident smile as she blushes a bit.

Alucard seemed curious as he looks at her pendant again. "Tell me, Miss Jun. How did you obtain that jewel?" He asked.

"The three regalias were kept as treasures after they're brought to the mortal realm. After a few years pass, some.....'descendants' of the slain evil god appeared out of the blue, planning to terrorize not just the entire Nippon, but the whole world." Jun explained. "My twin brother, one of my close friends and I were summoned to be bearers of each artifact. The Sword called Kusanagi no Tsurugi's passed down to my twin brother, the Mirror called Yata no Kagami to my close friend and lastly, the Jewel to me. Then the three of us split up to find those evil descendants and take them down." She added.

"I see. One of the demons you're after must've dwelled here in Wallachia that's why you're here." Said the dhampir.

"Correct." Jun replied. "And I'll never rest until I hunt that devil."

"You're a brave young woman, my lady." Alucard said in admiration. Jun blushes and smiles shyly from the dhampir's words.

End of flashback

Alucard opens his eyes.

"My lady..... Why can't I get you out of my mind...?" He thought to himself. He somewhat couldn't help but think about the huntress even after they've parted ways....sadly. A brief flicker of guilt went to him after defeating his father.

Flashback

"Farewell. We'll not meet again." He sadly bids farewell to the hunter, the speaker-magician and the huntress.

"Alucard....." The huntress sadly called his name, but the dhampir left in the shadows.

End of flashback

The warrioress calling out his name was the last thing he heard. Still, her voice and her beautiful image never left his mind. As he once again shuts his eyes, he hears a sad voice whisper his name...

"Alucard...."

It was the voice of the huntress he heard. Alucard opens his eyes again and whispers,

"My lady... Could it be you..?"

The dhampir heard her voice, but her presence wasn't there. It's as if he heard her voice from a distant. He felt her sadness as he gently puts his right hand over his chest.
