I'm in the d-details with the devil
So now the world can never get me on my level
I just gotta get you off the cage
I'm a young lover's rage
Ganna need a spark to ignite
My songs know what you did in the dark
So light 'em up, up, up
Light 'em up, up, up
Light 'em up, up, up
I'm on fire
I woke up to Fall Out Boys blaring through my speaker. Ty shot up form the couch so fast that he lost his balance and fell on his face. I couldn't help but laugh. After a few curses from Ty, I rolled over and lazily hit the off button.
"Couldn't you pick a softer song for the morning?" He mumbled rubbing his eyes.
"No, because then I wouldn't get up." I shrugged my shoulders just to show that I really didn't care.
"Well I am going to my room and get ready. We leave in 45 minutes. Don't be late!!" He screamed already down the steps.
I got out of bed and shuffled to the bathroom to do my morning routine. I brushed my teeth, put deodorant on and washed my face. I went back into my room feeling refreshed enough to pick out an outfit for today. I don't like getting dressed up for school, but I do take pride in looking nice. I grab my white skinny jeans and a black v-neck. I head back into the bathroom to but a little gel into my hair. My hair is raven black that reaches my waist and it has natural waves. Then, I look at my face and see no blemishes so I skipped the make up and just put mascara on to make my gray eyes pop. Or whatever mascara is supposed to make your eyes do. Then, I go back in my closet and grabbed my black vans. I sit on the window seat to put them on and I can't help but reflect on what happened last night.
Shaking my head to clear my thought, I head downstairs with 15 minutes to eat breakfast. Mom had breakfast at the table waiting when I walked in. She wasn't there so i assumed she was getting ready for work. I sat and ate in silence until I hear Ty running up the steps.
"We have to go. Don't want to be late for our first day of school." He yelled over his shoulder already walking out the front door. I yelled "Bye Mom" as I shoved another piece of bacon in my mouth and hurried after Ty. We decided to take his truck today. I have still have know idea what it is called, even after 3 years of owning it. I just know it is black and it looks very "manly".
When we pulled into Caden High I was not expected what I saw. The were rows and rows of very nice and expensive cars with seniors crowding around them. I looked in front of the cars and saw a huge school and it was well kept. Landscaping and everything looked like it could cost a fortune.
There was only one opened spot in the senior parking lot and it was the best spot. So, Ty parked his truck there and Sammy and Scott slowly made their way over to us. We both hopped out of the truck and the guys do the universal handshake that all guys know but no girl can figure out thing while Sammy and I just gave each other a quick hug. Why can't guys just learn to hug. It is a lot simpler that whatever they do.
"Are you guys ready?" Sammy asked kindly glancing between Ty and I. Scott was pulling Ty away to a large group of guys all staring at us. So since Ty ignored her question, I answered.
"Yes. I just have no idea where I'm going, honestly."
"Well, how about I walk you to the office and you can get your schedule and I'll show you to your first class? Sound good?" she asked starting to walk away.
