"Hey little D, you feeling any better?" Dick asks entering Damian's room, glancing at the bed finding it empty.

There was no response from any part of the room, a small shiver of fear had crawled up his spine. It was like Damian to sneak out but not when he was sick, so that meant he had to be somewhere around the manor.

He walks over to Tim's room and asks, "Hey have you seen Damian?"

"No, not since down in the cave. Why?" Tim replies a little confused and worried by Dick's tone.

"No worries, I was just curious if you seen that's all. By the way dinner is ready." Tim nods and Dick then heads back into Damian's room.

Walking further inside he hears whimpering, he knew this distinct whimper belonged to his baby brother. Using his ears he located where the sound is coming from and opens his brothers closet door.

Once his eyes adjust to the darkness he sees Damian's body outline crumpled into a ball. The whimpering intensified as Dick picked him up, he was surprised he stayed asleep. Dick sits down on the bed and cradles Damian in his arms.

"Damian...buddy..wake up." Dick says as he gently rubs his shoulder.

It only takes Damian a couple minutes to wake up, he didn't care he was in Dick's arms. Normally he would've thrown a hissy fit but he after the hell of a nightmare he went through he wanted to be held. He needed it.

After a few minutes Damian gets off of Dick and Dick tells him before leaving the room, "Dinners ready

Damian walks into his bathroom and takes in his appearance. His eyes were puffy from crying in sleep but you could still faintly see the bags, his skin somewhat pale. A growl from his stomach causes his focus to change. He was so hungry he could eat a whole cow, well not that he would because of Bat Cow.

Heading downstairs the smell of steak hit his nose, making his mouth water. This action confused him. This had never really happened. He makes his way into the kitchen and he sees his father, Jason, Tim, and Grayson sitting down, waiting for him. He takes his seat next to Tim and Alfred serves them. Everyone else got steak and he was given tofu.

He silently watched everyone as they at. He wanted a steak. A big, fat, juicy steak. But that would go against everything he stood for. He slowly picked up his tofu burger and took a bite, after a couple of chews he swallows and takes another bite. This happens until he's done eating. He was still hungry, it was like he hasn't eaten in a million years. Everyone else finishes and leave the kitchen. Once everyone's gone he gets in the cabinets and grabs a bag of chips.

He opens the bag of chips and heads into the living room, sitting in front of the tv. After going through half the bag he puts it back in the kitchen. He glances at the time and sees that it reads 11:27, his father and brothers would be going on patrol here pretty soon.

He wanted to go but he didn't feel like going. His whole body felt like it was different, changing. It scared him but he didn't want to say anything to his father because he didn't want to worry him, he didn't want to worry anyone. To him it felt like all he did was get in trouble.

The door bell rings, causing him to blink himself back into reality. Since he was near the door he figured he'd save Alfred the trouble and answer it. "I got it Pennyworth."

Approaching the door Jon's familiar sent wafted inside and hit his nose. A shaky hand reaches for the door and brings it open. His eyes land on John and he asks, his voice and hands still somewhat shaking, "What are you doing here?"

"I came to check on you...you weren't answering the phone. Something....something just felt off." He replies, trying not to let the worry show but as always Jonathan Kent was horrible at hiding his emotions. He was horrible at lying to, but Damian could this wasn't a lie. He was genuinely worried.

"Well you came, see I'm fine." Damian says a little sarcastically, trying to hide the fact that something was wrong with him.

"You're not going on patrol with your dad tonight?" Jon asks not wanting to talk about what happened between the two.

"No I'm not, I'm still recovering from the nasty hang over but I don't even remember drinking that much." He answers the boy in front of him. Then he quickly changes the subject to what's been bugging him for most of the day. "Kent stop being weird, let's just pretend it never happened...."

But was that what he really wanted? To pretend it didn't happen? Did he want something with the taller boy in front of him? Why did he just say that?

Jon was a little shocked and surprised at Damian's sudden outburst but then decided that it would probably be best if they pretended it never happened. "Yeah you're right. It never happened. Sorry, shouldn't have come. It's pretty late, goodnight Damian."

Jon turns around and starts to walk away leaving Damian standing there, a little baffled. Damian didn't know what was happening next, it was like he didn't have control over his limbs. His feet started to move, faster and faster until he got to Jon.

Jon had turned around when he heard running, not really knowing what to think when he saw it was Damian. Just like with Jon his limbs started to move him towards the other boy. When the two came into close proximity, Damian reaches for Jon's hand, almost like it was an instinct. The words that came out of Damian's mouth shocked them both.

"Please....stay..."

Damian's neediness was almost frightening, to himself and to Jon. The Damian Wayne we all knew wasn't needy, he hardly showed his emotions. Why would that change now?

"I'll stay..." He replies in a low, comforting voice.

Damian turns around and the two start to walk to the mansion. Once inside, Damian shuts the door and the two head upstairs to Damian's room. Inside Damian walks over to bed and takes off his shirt, then lays down under the covers.

Jon on the other walks over to Damian's dresser and grabs a pair of basketball shorts and sets them on the bed. He starts to strip and then slides them on over his boxers. He walks over to the bed and slides in under the covers, setting his glasses on the nightstand near the bed.

Damian was already in a half asleep daze so when he felt Jon climb in next to him he scooted closer to him and started to cuddle with him. Jon was a little shocked but he wasn't going to pass up the opportunity. He liked Damian in so many ways and he never said anything to him because he didn't want to ruin the friendship. Plus he never thought Damian felt the same.

Jon protectively wraps his arms around Damian and he snuggles into Jon's chest. It was like Jon's arms were a protective bubble and nothing or no one could come and take that away from the either of them.

They were safe there in that moment of peaceful bliss.
