Chapter 2

The monster was soon at our classroom door banging on the door to get in. It felt like an eternity that it was banging on the door. He growled and then the door flew off and smashed through the window the Maura bursted through the door and look at us. I grew pale and so did Cassie. I grabbed her hand and made a run for it. It chased us down the halls I turned into a janitors closet. I closed the door and told Cassie to be quiet. She was crying and burring her face in my chest. I held her and then I looked out the door to see if it was still out there. It wasn't but I did hear screaming, and it was coming from our classroom. I grabbed Cassie's hand again and went the opposite way of our classroom. We barged out of the front doors it was night. "How in the h*ll is it night?" I said. "I don't know but we need to get to some place safe." Cassie replied. So Cassie and I walked down the street and surprisingly there weren't any cars, like 0. Our town was abandoned. We walked to my house, my parents were not home no one was. I turned on the news and it just said stay indoors and keep your doors locked. Cassie started freaking out and I walked up to her and hugged her and told her everything is going to be alright. I went up to my room to grab my phone. I had gotten 10 messages from my mom saying things like. "Logan there is something outside our house" and "Logan help the thing is in the house" and "LOGAN IT JUST KILLED JAKE." Jake was our dog. I walked in my mom's room and there he was Jake on my floor laying in a pool of blood. I kneeled down next to him and cried. Cassie put her hand on my back." He was the best dog any man could ask for." I said. "I remember getting him, it was about 4 years ago when he was only a puppy." "When we got home I played with him, I fed him, I walked him." "He was the best thing that ever happened to me." I said. "Aw baby I'm so sorry." Cassie said. "It...It's fine." I said back. I stood up and walked out of the room. Cassie ran up to me and yanked me around and kissed me. Then she backed up and I leaned back in. After we kissed awkwardly I went and locked the doors and windows. Then I changed and Cassie just took off her pants and We just fell asleep in my bed. I mean we need our beauty sleep....right?
