He smiles, and I take out my switch blade and bring it to his neck.
"What are you DOING?!" I ask in a harsh whisper. I could be killed if someone knew their location out of the "drug game". His expression changed faster than a cheetahs attack. His big hand wraps around my small wrist and he says,
"I was doing what I was doing. Now what are you doing in this place?" He acts concerned, but I can't fall under another trick. I slowly make a small mark with the knife onto his neck.
"I was providing for myself. Now NEVER. Follow me again." I say and pull back the knife.
"Now wait a couple minutes after I go so they don't think we're together." And i continue walking. I put my headphones in and I see Tanner's shadow behind me. I have no idea how there is a shadow on this cloudy day, but it doesn't concern me.
"What did I say?!" I almost scream.
"Who are 'they'" he asks. His voice tenses when he says "they" as if really concerned. I don't get why he was interested in me. I mean I get why I would interest him, but why.
"None of your damn business. Now c'mon!" I grab his wrist and pull him to the right so the gateman wouldn't see us. When we get out of sight, i push him to the ground. When he falls, he doesn't seem to even react.
"What is with this guy?!" I think to myself. "Always happy, probably high."
He gets up and whipes his pants. He walks along side with me, and I dont say a word.
"Isnt there another way to get money?" He asks me. I am starting to get pissed.
"Ive been in this game since i was 13. I didn't know. And if I leave now I will get killed. I would prefer not talking about it, thanks." I say. I guess I'm not used to people caring.
