My life has been crazy, but I wouldn't change it for anything. This life that I have been given, I take what is thrown at me, and work with what I have. Things are hard yes, but that's part of living right? There are people that I trust, there are those that I don't, some that I hate, and some I like. Life is complicated, but its mine.

"Hey, where's my drink?" I hear from a man inside of my tavern.

"Coming," I called back to him, as I rushed to get his drink that smelled of something awful. I don't see how they can drink this stuff. Honestly, it makes them what Kagome calls drunk, and that some men they aren't too nice when they have it and aren't nice if they don't get it. I prefer the gin or whiskey and have, but what do I know, I'm a woman...

Giving the drink to the man and his friends I turned to walk away only for one of them to grab my rear. I take in a deep breath and keep walking only to hear the whistle and call out for me. I ignore men like that the best that I can, sometimes it is hard though, but I need the work. My boss calls for me behind the bar, and I go to him. "Is he harassing you again?"

"It's fine."

"It is not fine for him to be doing that to you."

"Thank you." He always tries to look out for me, seeing how I'm young and one of his best servers. That and overall he is a kind man when it comes to women, that and he has a wife and daughter at home that he protects, and sees me within that family. "Hakin?" I look towards the back, "Is she doing okay?"

"She's asleep, just put her down."

"Thank you again, sorry my watcher got sick, and well...." I was cut off by him shaking his head, and saying that it was fine. It happens sometimes, and I bring her to work. My daughter. The best thing about my life. So dealing with all of these men that have no manners or cares for others especially women, its worth it, if I can provide for her, I will do whatever means necessary.

The night goes on like normal, and I finally start cleaning up after everyone has gone. Hakin decided that it was time to close up when some of the men thought it okay to start grabbing more of me. In response to the men, I stabbed one in the hand, which is what started the whole decision. It's the same man every time, and I had finally had enough, so did Hakin, who through the man out, and threatened him if he ever came back.

As I finished cleaning the last table, I hear the thing that makes my heart beat. "Mommy."

I turn to see my little girl walking next to Hakin with a doll in her hand. The only thing she has from her father, other than his looks of course. Ayaka is everything to me.

She ran to me, and I picked her up before saying goodbye to hakin and heading home. Aya, as I call her, sort of her nickname, she lays her head on my shoulder and I can feel her eyelashes brush against my skin. She snuggles in closer, and I pull her in tighter to my chest. I will do anything for you baby girl, I think and look down at her. She is already asleep once more, I smile at that, she has no clue to the horrors of this world, and I will try to keep her from them. Including HIM...
