They land on the golden balcony and walk inside. They flew up the staircases and came to a stop when the saw five door ways.

"I get the middle bedroom!" Jay yelled, as he zoomed off. Mal bit down on his tail.
"Hold on a second, Jay, we need to make this even. Two boys on one side, two girls on the other. And one girl in the middle, seeing as there's three girls and two boys." Mal said.
Jay groaned. "Fine. Who's going in the middle?"
The girls exchanged looks, ending up with Mal. "Mal can have it." Evie nodded.
"Yeah, Evie and I have had our bedrooms next to each other since she found me at the front door step." Clarissa added.
"Thanks, girls. You're the best." Mal hugged her gal friends before they all walked off to their bedrooms.
The bedrooms are colour coded to the alicorn's element

"Not really the colours we would've chosen, but it makes a lot of sense because the castle chose the colours by our unique Element of Friendship." Mal explained, as the main five and Prince Ben met up in the throne room. At the far end, stood five thrones. Each one had the sign of an element at the top. The butterfly was for Kindness, the apple for Honesty, lightning bolt for Loyalty, diamond for Generosity and three balloons for Laughter.
"Woah. These thrones are ..." Clarissa started.
"Gorgeous!" Evie squealed. "Hey, Clara, what's that drawing next to your tail?"
"They're called cutie marks. Every alicorn gets one. Sometimes it appears as one picture, or it can be up to three."
