Cameron's POV
I walked back into the store, wide eyes. I was confused because I hadn't taken anything and I wouldn't even try to. I walk to the counter, still puzzled.
"I didn't take anything.." I said trying not to cry again.
Of course something like this would happen to me, especially on a day like this. Tarrin glanced at me with a weird look. She was just as confused as me.
The clerk at the store looked at me kind of annoyed, you could tell she didn't want to be there. "Then why did the alarms go off?" She sarcastically replied.
Before I could reply, another girl came up to the counter who worked there. She looked my age, maybe a year or so younger. "I believe that you didn't take anything." She smiled and giggled a little. she pulled something off the back of my pants. "This was caught on your pants..." She tried not to laugh.
"Of course it was." I said sarcastically and rolled my eyes. "Today is just not my day." I sighed but smiled down to the girl.
"It's okay. Everyone has those days." She nodded, understanding how I felt.
"I'm Cameron, " I said, putting my hand out to shake hers.
"I'm Hannah." She paused, taking her hand in mine. "And for the record, I already know who you are."
Tarrin's POV
I walked over to Cameron, who was now chatting it up with one of the girls who worked at the store. She seemed pretty into him. And I'd mention that to him later.
"Nice going, Klepto Cam. " I joked, placing my hand on his shoulder, slightly patting it. "I'm just playing with you. Accidents like that happen all the time."
He smiled knowing I was obviously kidding.
"Is this your girlfriend?" The girl, who's name I wasn't sure yet, asked.
Cameron quickly shook his head, still smiling like an idiot and if I was correct I could see that he was blushing. " This is Tarrin, she's just a good friend that I met today." He assured the girl.
The girl smiled at me. "It's nice to meet you, Tarrin! I'm Hannah." She finally said, putting a name to the now familar face.
I smiled. "Lovely to meet you too!"
Cameron flashed a rosey-checked smile my way. I could tell that he thought the girl was attractive physically and mebtally. meaning he liked what he saw and her personality was just his type. Or so I guessed by the way he was acting.
"I have to get back to work, but this is my number." Hannah said, taking a pen and note pad and writing down a number. "Text me sometime?" She smiled, as she ripped the note off the stack and handed it to Cameron.
Taking the note, looking down at it as he did so, he replied with "I definitely will. Be expecting it." He smiled to her.
"I will be." She waved, and with that we headed our way out of the store.
I decided not to get anything there right now and I could always just come back or wait to decorate my room.
"I'm kind of hungry." I laughed, suddenly feeling my growling stomach.
I waited for a response but got nothing. I looked over to Cameron. he was glued to his phone with a grin plastered on his face.
"To the food court we go!" I said leading the way, hoping Cameron wasn't too occupied and actually knew where he was headed.
"Cam" I jokingly snapped by his face. He was so into texting who I imagined was Hannah.
He looked at me but still didn't say anything, then returned to his phone.
