What Am I

I heard a gasp through the Class. All the kids in the room widened there eyes and some asked, "What is she?" The teacher smiled, "Our first siren." I looked towards the students as they stared. I stepped out of the circle and got back into my place in line, Travis and Esther stared at me speechless. I was too. As I was thinking a boy walked over to me and said, "Hello people! Stop staring! She's not that pretty!" Then he looked at me and said, "You're charm does not work on me." I looked at him up and down, how rude. He had blue eyes, blue hair, and a weird mismatched School uniform. 
I smiled and said, "Sorry, i'm not trying. I had no idea." His death stare he was giving me softed and he said, "Oh um... it's fine. I didn't know you weren't controlling it." I smiled and asked "What's your name?"
He smirked and said, "Dante Rose, and i'm guessing you don't have any friends yet?" I stepped a little closer and answered, "Only two. By the way what are you?" Dante smiled brightly, "I'm a whisp I went to the rest of my classes but couldn't help but wonder, why did the world choose me. Why was I even considered to be a siren, a monster that is not believed by many. It seems to be sirens are real but not many people know, I am living proof. The question is am I really alive? I must be I have parents that gave birth to me but are they really my parents? I will ask them I must get to the bottom of this. I went to my dorm and as usual Esther was waiting for me. "You are a siren you could kill me if you wanted too." I looked at him "I.. don't know how to." He stared at me for a moment and nodded. I felt it was strange that even in his human form right when he walked into that class I knew it was him. I suppose it was just a feeling, I always knew when he was nearby. He's always been in the corner watching me, hurting me. I can't forgive him.
