You and Tom had been a little distant lately. By a little I mean a lot. You guys haven't seen each other in 3 months. Sometimes you even forgot he was your boyfriend. But you didn't want the love that you had to end. You missed him like hell. The moments in front of the fireplace around Christmas, the long walks on the beach during summer, you missed all of it. But you knew it was ending very quickly but you couldn't admit it. To him or yourself.

She hopes that, there's still something left. Let go now cause he's leaving.

You and Tom greet each other at the airport with an empty hug. A hug that once used to send butterflies in your stomach now meant nothing to you. You saw his half smile fade.

You both walked to the car silently. You got in the car and started the car. You tried to make small talk. Asking him about filming, how his family was, etc.

"Y/n just stop it." Tom says. You act if you were oblivious to the situation.

"S - stop what?" You ask him, swallowing the gulp in your throat.

"This! All the pretending!!" He says, obviously he was keeping this within him for a while, because he was breathing heavy and his eyes started to water up. "Can't you see??! We're different now. We can't keep pretending that things were alright."

"Yes we can!! We can just pretend that everything is alright, I don't see us bending!!" You we're now driving with blurry vision, not being able to focus on the world around you. Your mind trying to keep the relationship that has lasted for 4 years now. You used to be able to see your future in his eyes. But now all you see is the emptiness and emotionless eyes of grief.

So you put your foot on the gas going over the speed limit.

"Y/n...Y/N WHAT ARE YOU DOING SLOW DOWN!! Y/N!!? DO YOU HEAR ME!??" Yelled Tom. You ignored him. You felt betrayed and angry. So you drove and drove. Drove to the edge of the cliff. And drove your car off the side. Looking at Tom one last time.

"I'm sorry.." you whisper as the car smashes down into the sea and both of your lives don't exist. This was the end to your story.
