Misunderstanding

My eyes widened, I slowly went back out into the hall. Ashlyn pecked Daniel and went back in, I held my breath.

"Daniel, can I talk to you for a second?" He looked at Ashlyn who said yes before going into the room.

"Yeah, sure,"

I was her best friend, she could trust me.

I grabbed his wrist and walked him all the way to the elevator. "Okay, this is pretty weird. But, I have to tell something."

"What? What is it about?"

"Well..one of the girls in there. Besides Ashlyn and Christina, has a crush on you!" I squealed.

His eyes widened, "Uh, are you sure that I'm supposed to know? Or even let alone are you sure?"

"You're probably not supposed to know, but hey, I'm sure."

"Who?" He deadpans.

"Abby!" His mouth dropped.

"My girlfriends best friend of like 10 years likes me?"

"Mhm, and a lot!"

"Why are you telling me this-are you trying to break up Ashlyn an-"

"No! I just thought you should know I mea-"

"MACKENZIE!" I turned around and Abby was there.

Daniel turned red and started to walk away before I grabbed his arm.

"Abby, I was just telling Daniel something about-"

"Don't lie to me! I was standing there for that entire conversation! I'm not stupid, I know what you said!"

"Well, your crush knows now so you're welcome."

"No my crush doesn't."

"Yeah, I told Daniel you like him, you were telling everyone in there how you didn't want to break him and Ashlyn apart."

"I don't like Daniel, no offense dude. I love you, but not like that."

"None taken."

"Bull, you were saying all about how you think you were in love with Daniel. I walked in and heard you guys talking!"

"Wait, so you were ease dropping! And then you just assume when you join a random conversation that I like someone that I don't! Why would I want to tell my best friend of 9 years I like her boyfriend, that's messed up!" She yelled.

"I swear! Stop denying it, he already knows! JUST ADMIT IT, IM NOT STU-"

"I DONT LIKE DANIEL, I LIKE ZACH!"

"WHY ARE YO-" I stopped, "Y-you like Zach?"

"YES! AND I DIDN'T WANT TO TELL YOU BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO HURT OUR FRIENDSHIP BUT CLEARLY," she took a deep breath, "But clearly, you ease dropping, and then automatically assuming that I liked someone and then telling him. That is messed up!"
