The bright sun shining through my window made me peel my eyelids apart, allowing my body to slowly wake up.

I sat up from my bed, feeling the pounding in my head and realizing that I had a hangover. Why do I drink if this is what happens every damn time?

But I remember everything from last night. The party, the drinking, the talking, the people, the surprise, and Brennen.

I rolled my eyes and went to my bathroom to wash off my face and make it so I don't look dead.

Heading downstairs, I heard silence. My thoughts of wondering where they could be stopped when I saw all of the guys sprawled out all over the couch and floor. I chuckled to myself before heading into the kitchen to make breakfast for everyone for when they all decided to wake up.

"Hey, I thought I heard you get up, I spent the night in Sam's room since he wasn't gonna sleep there." Kat surprised me.

"Hey, I didn't even know you were still here. I thought you might've left last night." I laughed, reaching and taking out all of the ingredients from the pantry and fridge.

"How'd you like the party?" She asked as we began cooking bacon, eggs, and pancakes.

"It was fun, definitely waaaay different than the parties I'm used to from back in the Netherlands." I kept my answer short and simple. I don't want anyone to find out about what happened last night. I know how close of friends Colby and Brennen are and it would break his heart and their friendship if I told Colby that Brennen was flirting with me and hurt me last night. He would be so pissed. I can't ruin #brolby.

One by one, everyone began to wake up and groan at the pounding headache they all had.

"I smell foooood," I heard an unfamiliar voice say from the living room. That must be Jake, since I only met him for a split second last night.

"Oh, um, hey, you must be Ali, Colby's girl." I turned around to see a disheveled Jake leaning up against the kitchen counter.

"Yea, hey." I said, giving him a small, friendly smile before turning back around to flip the pancakes that were about to burn.

"Damn girlie, how much food are you making?" I heard Corey laugh as he came into the kitchen, popping a few Advil to relieve his headache.

"I mean, there is seven of us here so it's gonna be a lot of food. I'm sure you guys won't let it go to waste." I laughed, piling more pancakes onto the mountaint that was already on the plate.

"You got that right," Sam chuckled as he stole a piece of bacon from Kat.

I felt someone wrap their arms around my waist and leaning their head on my shoulder as I was cooking.

"Morning sleeping beauty." I laughed as I gave Colby a quick kiss.

"Morning sweetheart." He smiled, pulling me in for another kiss.

"DON'T GET COOTIES ON THE PANCAKES!" Corey screamed, breaking our sweet kiss as everyone burst out laughing.

By now, there was at least fifty pancakes on the plate, or so it looked like, so I shut off the stove and cleaned up my mess.

Everyone sat down at the table where we eat a "family" meal a couple times a month. So basically everytime me, Kat, or Devyn cooks for the guys or we order take-out food.

That's me subtley saying that the guys don't cook. I mean, sometimes they cook. But it mostly ends in failure and a fire alarm going off.

I chuckled to myself and put one of the cut up pieces of pancake in my mouth, savoring the sweet flavor of maple syrup.

"So Ali, tell me about yourself. I mean I know the guys but the only stuff I know about you is what Colby tells me." Jake said, his mouth full of eggs and bacon.

"I hope its all good stuff," I said, pinching Colby's upper arm.

"Only good stuff about you comes out of my mouth." He chuckled, placing a soft kiss on my forehead.

Moments like this is what I live for, just us, all hungover, hanging out around the dining room table chowing down on some good, homemade breakfast.

I know I say it a lot, but I really do love these people: Colby, Sam, Kat, Corey, Devyn, Aaron, Elton, Amanda, and now Jake.

When I moved to Los Angeles, I didn't know much about YouTube, or social media, or even Los Angeles. But living in this house, this mansion, has adapted me to the ways of a YouTuber. Constant pranks being pulled, screaming and running around, laughing, theres always a camera in your face, like at all times. At first I was a little uncomfortable cause I only liked filming by myself, but I've gotten used to doing videos with the guys.

Everyone was caught up in talk about last nights party, I just sat back and listened to the stories. Corey apparently did keg-stands, which they said is pretty normal for him, some guy named David did a bunch of stupid dares, Sam won beer pong against Jake. I decided not to tell my story, since it would pretty much detroy the happy mood that was currently going on right now.

But what happened between the next few minutes, is what really destroyed, obliterated the happiness.

I got a call. I know what your thinking, was it some spam call? Was it a call from one of your old friends from the Netherlands? Was it Noah? Kara? Mila? Finn? Levi? Lucas?

I would tell you none of the above.

On my phone screen was a picture of my family when I was younger, me on my father's shoulders and my younger brother Daniel hugging my mothers legs as we stood in front of the Disney Magic Kingdom Cinderella castle. Above that picture was the contact name, "Little Bro".

My heart instantly began to beat fast. My brother never EVER calls me out of no where unless its my birthday or Christmas or some other holiday. Usually I just get small random texts from him asking for girl advice or help on a homework assignment.

"I've gotta take this, I'll be right back." I said, standing up from my chair at the table and grabbing my phone. The whole table went silent, they probably noticed the worried expression on my face.

I walked into the kitchen, my hand, my whole body, shaking as I pressed the answer button and held the phone up to my ear.

"Hey, what's up Daniel. Long time no talk." I said, nervous of what was gonna happen next. And what did happen next, you ask? I felt my life fall apart at my brothers next words that came through the static of the phone.

"A-Ali, s-someone from d-dad's work just g-gave us b-bad news," I heard him stutter, I could tell that he was crying, which meant that this bad news, was really bad news.

"W-what's wrong Danny?" I stuttered out of nervousness.

"D-Dad, he's d-dead."
