CHAPTER 7: I WANT YOU

- Zeus's P.O.V. -

        It hurt to hear her say that she would rather reject me first. It made me upset that some idiot wolf would pass on such a gorgeous woman. And it made me happy to know that she would accept me as hers as long as I wanted her as mine.

        Guys I need you to leave my mate and I alone for a moment. I mind linked to the three of them.

        Yes Alpha. Jeremy and Tom said in unison while Trent made a gruff noise and glared while stiffly walking away. He was almost to the stairs when my mate called out to him.

        "Trent?" she asked. His heard turned t her in-spite of being agitated with me. I looked at him too and stepped closer to my future to make sure he didn't try to take her away. "Look I know your mad now because you think Zeus is using me, but after I'm done talking with him you and I can catch up later." I couldn't help but notice how she said my name so sexy. Wait, what does she mean catch up later? My wolf and I didn't like that thought at all. This caused me to growl in annoyance.

        "Okay babe." he winked at her, sent a smirk my way, and hurried up the stairs. By that time I was furious. How dare he call her babe. She is mine and only I can call her babe. It surprises me how were both acting towards each other since we usually get along. But forget about him.

         I pulled my mate into an air tight hug, stuffed my nose into the crook of her neck, and gently rubbed her back- hopefully this will calm me down. At first she resisted, but eventually she gave in by also breathing in my smell. (A/N lol, I'm sorry if that sounded really weird.) We stayed like that for a long time until she pushed me away. I was caught off guard so I stumbled back. Once up I went to her for another hug, but she hastily backed away into the wall. I continued to step forward until I heard the faintest sniffle. Was she crying?

        I was utterly confused. What on Earth did I do? Not even a day with her, and already I have her crying. So I stood there in mid-step like an idiot. It was so quiet besides her painful crying that I could hear my pack members miles away walking above us. Since her hands were covering her eyes I risked a tentative step towards her again.

        "Stop! Please, just stop." she removed her hands from her face to reveal green eyes stained with red from the tears. Fear was evident in her eyes as well.

        "I'm not going to reject you. In fact I plan on loving and protecting you for the rest of my days. Its not often anyone gets another chance at love; its the first time any ones been given a second mate. So I'm going to cherish you like one would a precious pearl." That seemed to take away the fear, but not the hesitation.

        "How can I believe one word your saying? My last mate didn't even want me."

        "Because your now my mate and I forever will be your. And because I want you, in more ways than one." The way she had her lips slightly parted and how she was breathing through them real slow showed me how worked up she got from me saying that; It kind-of turned me on. i closed the distance between us. I placed one hand on either sides of her body to trap her against the wall, and wedged my knee in between her legs, so it'd be snug against her area. Her heat quickly traveled through my shorts. She gasped in pleasure when my chest was flushed up against hers. A smirk was evident on my face from the reaction I was able to get out of her when I haven't even kissed her yet. That thought caused my eyes to wander to her lips, but i wasn't sure if she wanted me to do that yet. I wish I could read her mind.
