Bright green eyes stared ahead, the sight before them being somewhat entrancing. Quiet and almost ethereal peace surrounded the whole scene as it unfolded, a young boy covered in leaves and underbrush being the main source of everyone on the island's attention. The two main spectators of the whole event held their breathe, this one moment heavily affecting the outcome of their future and every plan plastered on a giant vision board. So much relied heavily on this single moment.

Miliyuki and Rexy grew anxious, excitement still within their systems. A pair of red and blue eyes glistened with more expectation and excitement, already knowing just how the spectacle may end, while the green eyes mentioned before worriedly watched the scene with hope and desperation. They had been dreading this day, attempting to prepare themselves for either possibility. This was really it...

'What is he doing?' A familiar voice sounded, one only Miliyuki could currently hear. The pinkette smiled happily, allowing her twin to see the event through their shared eyes.

"He's going for it..." Miliyuki quietly whispered, allowing only herself and her current counterpart to hear. Kaida replied with a slight hum, going back to whatever depths she originated.

Miliyuki remembered the day better than remembering her own features. That promise... It was unforgettable, something Mito actually couldn't back down from, no matter how much she may regret it later. She couldn't take it back. This was Ging's son and Yumi's daughter she was dealing with. Adventure quite literally ran in their blood.

The sound of panting could be heard throughout the forest, the owner covered in sweat. Here Miliyuki was, completely overworking herself to prepare herself for something way ahead of her age group. She had left her colleagues behind not too long ago, but she hadn't minded much then. Then again she also hadn't realized that one of those two colleagues included the small kid she vowed herself to protect at all costs, leading to her running back down that path to find the boy. Once she did reconvene with their original place, her eyes widened to find an older white-haired male towered over a dead Kitsune-Guma. He turned around, giving Miliyuki a better look of his face to realize who this guy might've been. This quick evaluation had been cut short at his scolding of Gon being alone in the forest at this time of night, smacking him across the area. This spiraled a turn of events, an argument between Miliyuki and the male, and Gon later becoming the foster parent of the dead Kitsune-Guma's child-

"There it is! I got it! I got it!" An all too familiar voice shouted, knocking Miliyuki from any further thoughts. She looked back up in said voice's direction, water splashing her in the face, soaking her and her companion, "It's over!"

Gon's hook lay outside of the water, a giant fish, the Pond Master, attached to it's end. Surprised was an understatement for this situation. Few had been able to see the giant fish, even less able to skim it with the tip of a hook. Remarkable this event was, for it was just the small beginning of one huge adventure.

The shock of everyone soon turned into chatter, either complementing Gon on his accomplishment, or congratulating him on his oncoming journey of the Hunter Exam. Of course, there were the few that worried, asking themselves out loud if Miliyuki was capable of caring for the boy alone for so long. This caused Miliyuki to sigh, crossing her arms as she stood from her position on the tree branch.

"I fished the pond's master like I promised!" Gon lifted the Pond Master above his shoulders, dropping it at Mito's feet. A large grin lay along his lips, mirroring Rexy and Miliyuki's current facial expressions, "Your turn to keep your promise, Mito-San!"

~~~~~~~~~
"So, we're still not telling her?" Silence followed the question as the three finally boarded the ship. Miliyuki and Gon turned to Rexy, quickly shaking their heads and turning away. They couldn't speak aloud of the event that occurred three years ago, or of the giant Kitsune-Guma, Kon, currently residing in the island's forest. It was a silent agreement between them all and they were already sailing away from the island.
"The best we can do is keep our promises, no matter what" Rexy nodded at the statement, her eyes shining with determination. However, Miliyuki stopped paying attention, noticing two odd figures aboard, a guy with grey hair and a girl with pink, a black streak through her bangs. They wore matching white suits, indicating that the two had some type of relationship with one another. They too were inspecting everyone aboard, mainly Gon. Something about them gave Miliyuki shivers, something she couldn't shake.
"Miliyuki?" Gon asked, shaking her from further evaluation. She looked down at him, her frown turning into a small smile
"Yes, Gon?" He probably noticed them too, but he wouldn't say a word on them. His face did show concern towards her, worrying of her sudden spacing out. She knew what that expression was asking, but she simply shook her head and kept her observations to herself, moving along "Let's try to settle a bit..."
~~~~~~~

Boredom. Complete and udder boredom had befallen Miliyuki as some rando disposed of all of his inside over the railing. She found more interest in her hair strands than the seasick passenger beside her, holding up a broken half of a water bottle for him.

Had she come alone, she'd allow every last one of them to suffer on their own, probably even laugh to herself at their misfortune. The bastards deserved it for immediately assessing her posse as helpless children that didn't need to be on such a dangerous journey. That, however, wasn't the case, seeing as Gon made it his mission to tend to each and every sick person aboard.

"Get some fruit when you're done emptying yourself" She simply states, standing from her crisscrossed position.

This was really going to be interesting...

A/n: Annnnd done! Oof! Updating hurts sometimes. Expect a lot of updates for this month and possibly next month, then again, no promises. I really want to get back in the writing mood, high school is just... Rough? Yeah, that. Anyway, sorry if this doesn't exactly feel like my usual writing and the change of pace halfway through. Just trying to get the feel of writing again. Also, immediate appearance of Riku and Rozu plus slight mention of Kaida at the beginning! Be proud.
Anyway, MCI Out, Peace 😜
