If anyone had decided to tell Miliyuki that she'd be traveling with a couple extra guests to the entrance point of the Hunter Exam, she more than likely would've backed out, especially if she knew that two of them were shady and somewhat suspicious. She didn't exactly trust any of them, but those two stayed on her radar for some reason or another.

"Guess Ging does have someone watching his kid..." The statement wasn't necessarily meant for her... It couldn't have possibly been for her. Technically, she was his babysitter in a weird way, but that had been the only encounter of someone even merely mentioning Ging since they'd boarded. No one ever talked about Ging... It was weird to even hear his name... Maybe she shouldn't have replied, but it lead to something, more specifically a bit of relaxing between them. Rozu alwas still suspicious though, no matter how reassuring and calming the conversation had been.

"It's bad to suddenly dose off in the middle of leaving a ship" That kid with blonde hair stated, walking beside her. He wasn't necessarily staring at her or anything along those lines, so it took her awhile to realize he'd been talking to her (and it took her awhile to realize he was a she... Whoops). His once closed eyes opened and looked over in her direction, giving her a stern look, one almost similar to the one Mito would give when scolding her or the others.

"Ah! S-Sorry!" She stuttered out, face somewhat flushing. Her gaze had been averted out of embarrassment, feet quickly moving to place her near her friends.

It took her awhile to recover, completely missing the captain's whisperings to Gon about the exam's contents and whereabouts. It was obvious he was giving him this leg up, seeing how the whole ship ordeal late in the night had been handled...

The waves had only worsened as they continued to press forward towards their official location, passengers tossing their cookies off the deck on every corner or sicker than any wild dog imaginable and unimaginable. She could only sigh as the guy beside her continued to feel sick. Luckily, Gon just so happened to be raised around these conditions with her, leading to the gladness she felt that he wasn't as sick as any of the others.

The handful of them that had actually been okay just so happened to consist of the two shady characters from before, the two remaining on he radar. She soon found herself pushing off of the railing above the spot she had been originally placed, making her way past the two. Little had she known, conversation indeed would insue faster than she had intended.

As the day grew longer, Gon had constantly been around the deck, staring up at the birds and listening to their feedback on the weather. There was an obvious storm brewing, the cloud formation telling her that much alone. That's when the girl with pink hair with a black strip going through the bang walked up to her, casually leaning against the rail next to her like they weren't total strangers to one another.

'Keep an eye out...' Kaida mumbles lowly, almost growling a bit. Not like Miliyuki totally hadn't been thinking such already-

"We're going up that pine, Miliyuki and Rexy!" Gon shakes her from her thoughts, pointing up towards a lone pine tree in the far distance, completely opposite of the original destination. She shrugged, adjusting the small strap on her back. The kitsune beside them fixed the small bag on her back, nodding as she began walking forward, only to he stopped by the sudden shouting behind them.

"You're just going to go without question?!" Asks one of the slightly older looking men from earlier asked , adjusting his glasses as he glared disapprovingly in their direction. Apparently, he'd already been going off about heading that way anyway, so the others were already pretty far ahead in comparison to his shouting range.

However, none of that mattered later as he soon began trailing close behind them, shouting about needing someone to watch out for them or whatever. These were some really weird people they'd dug up...

"5¥ hw ditches before the end of the full exam" Rexy mumbles to her friend, smiling as she held up the bit of betted currency. Miliyuki lifted an eyebrow in questioning thought for a moment before smiling back at the girl in response

"Deal"

"Are you being paid for it or do you just choose to watch the kid?" The quesion was sharp and quick, the asker unphased by the person they'd been talking to suddenly tensing up at the question. No, she kept going, a coy smile remaining on her lips with her eyes closed "He's a smart kid"

How would you respond to that question? It hadn't really been any of her concern, so why bother with it "You know Ging or something?" She asks in response, facing her while her head leaned against the rusting rails of the ship. Her eyebrow raised slightly as she awaited her answer, watching the girl turn to her.

"Rozu"

"Miliyuki. You two together?"

The girl's cheeks flush a bright red as she shakes her head, averting her eyes flusteredly "Nothing like that, just friends"

"'Just friends'? Sure" Miliyuki giggles, smiling at Rozu knowingly, the latter making a small flustered noise in response before givinf her a small nervous smile in response. They mutually shook hands, neither of their questions answered and neither really too concerned over it...

A/n: "How to be a bad author: 3 easy steps" Joking aside, hope you enjoyed and gosh does it feel good updating this beauty! It's a little short and a little all over the place, but I'll fix that next chapter (whenever that is)! Had to jump around chapter 2 and 3 of the manga to somewhat catch up with myself in terms of published chapters and to get through the beginning as quick as possible! Anyway, MCI Out, Peace 😜
