Chapter 1
October 9th 2035 that’s the day when it all started turning bad.
How was I supposed to know the world would end? I was a total zombie freak. I’d play zombie games like Resident Evil etc., read the Zombie Survival Guide, but that still didn’t mean I was prepared for the zombie apocalypse. I wasn’t prepared to lose my family and friends.
Nothing prepared me.
I remembered when I first sighted a zombie. I thought he was sick, so I wanted to help him. But I couldn’t understand a word he said, he was just moaning and groaning throwing his hands into the air. His eyes were weird coloured. They looked yellow and bloodshot.
When I saw him bit into my neighbour’s wrist, I didn’t know what to do, but all I could hear are the crunch of the bones and he was screaming. I ran into my house. It appeared as if someone already called the police for assistance. When I came out, they were loading the man into the ambulance. My neighbour bled out and was put into a body bag. I suggested it was a zombie but as usual, they didn’t believe me, and called me a crazy psychopath.
I began to pack emergency canned food and some clothes. I warned my family and friends…but it was too late. Chaos had broken out all over the world. Every place offered food, shelter and safety…but it was all a lie.
The day of infection started I lost my family and my friends and now I’m trying to survive through this hell. Within months…the whole world was overcome. Those who survived pulled together, but I couldn’t find any survivors. I was on my own…
“Can you hear me” said on the radio I had on me “Listen there isn’t much time but if there are any survivors come to the mayor’s hall.”
I thought to myself “Are there really people for help? Or is this a looting pared” as that came across my mind I keep going I made my way through the cars and was making my way to the supermarket but I heard a groan then a scream from the distance.
I slipped myself under a car and watched as the feet step pass the car and waited 2 minutes before sliding out and keep going. As I thought to myself
“Why keep going when everyone I cared about was dead, what a mess” I keep repeating this in my mind.
I made it to the supermarket without attracting any zombies so I search the place for foods that are easy to carry and good to fill but there was barely anything left.
As I left the market, it was getting dark and sounds of shotgun fire were bouncing around the city building.
“Gosh…doesn’t the government sort these kinds of things out?” I questioned myself.
