Today was the court hearing. Emma and Regina haven't spoken about the night at Emma's work. They have both been in good moods all week. Emma finished her shift at the garage and was heading to her car. She was going to drive to the court now. She was on the phone to grace about meeting her there. "Emma" she heard from behind her. Emma hung the phone up as she saw who it was. "Neal?" She asked shocked. He smiled and nodded.
Emma looked shocked and said "umm I can't talk right now. I have to go" "I want you back Emma" he says quickly before she could walked away. Emma looked shocked and said "what" he smiled and said "I saw you the other day and you had this glow on you. I made a huge mistake and I want to make it up to you" Emma smiled slightly and he carried on "I was told this is where you were" he gave her the piece of paper with her address. Emma looked confused and said "who gave this to you" "and Emma... you are good enough for me" he says interrupting her.
Emma instantly knew who spoke to him. She looked half upset and half disappointed. Without saying anything she walked away. She got in her car and drove down to the court. Regina was already there. Emma walked in a little late. Regina smiled at her but she didn't even look at her. She sat down next to her lawyer. "Look it's the happy couple. 6 months down the line" the judge said sarcastically. There couples therapist told the judge they have been working well on there marriage. Emma had tears in her eyes but kept them in.
Regina's brother (mason) stood up and said "with taking away the amount of money in rent plus how much Emma spent having her car fixed that leaves 1.64 to be divided equally" the judge nodded as he sat down. "Do you accept miss swan" the judge asked and looked at Emma. She leaned over to her lawyer and said her answer. The lawyer stood up and said "no my client doesn't accept. She doesn't want any of the money" Regina looked over confused. Grace and Laila sat up confused. "Are you sure miss swan" the judge asked.
Emma stood up and said "I am your honour" he smashed his hammer down and said "I grant the divorce" Emma stood up and went over to Regina. "You win Regina. I officially want nothing from you" she says upset. She put the piece of paper down in front of her and walked out with the twins behind her. Regina looked at the paper and knew Neal came. She cursed herself since he wasn't meant to come now. When Emma and the twins got outside grace asked "mum what happened"
Emma had tears in her eyes and said "it doesn't matter. Your to young. All you need to know is that Regina stabbed me in the back hard" they had both fallen in love with each other. That's what hurt Emma the most. She loved her and Regina just back stabbed her. Regina went home and was happy to be back home. She led on the sofa and thought about Emma. "Dammit" she says angry at herself. Emma was led in her bed. The problem was it still smelt like apple and cinnamon which was Regina's cent.
She got up and put the sheets in the wash. Her first diner shift was cancelled because of the court but her night shift was still on. Emma was sat on the sofa just looking at the tv. It wasn't even on. Grace and Laila could tell Emma had grown feelings for Regina. They went downstairs and sat down next to her either side. They hugged her and Laila said "I'm sorry mum if it was our fault. We were really mean to her" Emma shook her head and said "it's not your fault. Like I said Regina was the back stabber. I'm gonna go make dinner. Is stake alright"
The girls nodded softly and Emma stood up. She went to the kitchen and started making dinner. She was trying to get her mind of Regina. Meanwhile Regina was at her house. Her friends and her brothers were all there having a party she hosted. She was sat in the lounge on the sofa. She bit her thumbs while thinking about Emma. This wasn't how it was meant to be. Mason came into the room and sat next to Regina. "You liked her didn't you" he says sitting down. She stood up and said "it doesn't matter. I messed up"
As Regina passed the front door she saw letters on the floor. She picked the hand written one up and saw it was from Daniels family. Regina opened it and saw the picture.

She smiled and a tear ran down her cheek. "My handsome young man" she said to herself softly. She then looked at the note. It was handwritten but the handwriting wasn't the same as the others.
Dear Regina, My name is Daniel and I'm your son. I found out the day after my birthday about you. I've known I was adopted but I wasn't allowed to know who you are. Sorry if this gets to you late we have been really busy and didn't have time to send it. I would love to meet you if that's ok. Just send a letter back or if you have my adopted mums number text her to let me know. Also I know why you gave me up and I'm not mad. Love Daniel xxx
Another tear ran down Regina's cheek. She was so happy her son wanted to see her. This took her mind of Emma. She put the letter and photo in the spare room on the ground floor before going and getting a drink. She knew she had to find some way to get her mind of everything. Emma was sat on the sofa watching tv. She had her girls asleep on her. There heads on each shoulder. This made her smile. She kissed each other there heads before resting her head on one and falling asleep.
