Annie and Reiner hadn't moved, they couldn't move... Reiner thought that maybe if this canine like monster Titan didn't see them move then they would become invisible. Like dinosaur rules.
But the titan wasn't breaking eye contact. Something said they were a threat, so this beast of a titan was asserting dominance. It was stronger than these humans...
Sasha had cold sweat on the back of her neck, Zeth tightened her hands on her blades. Annie glanced at Reiner through the corner of her eyes, Reiner looking over at her.
The way this titan moved... it was like a dog- no a wolf, a wild beast.
Another set of steps, another titan walking toward the canine like beast of a titan. The canine looking back, growling at the titan. Once Zeth realized the attention was back on the other titan, no longer them- they were finally out of the attention span. She grabbed Sasha and let the hooks launch out to send both of them to the rooftop to meet up with Reiner and Annie.
"What the hell is that thing?" Zeth asked, feeling panicked and wondering exactly how the titans have become like this. Everything about these monsters have changed- no they become even more monstrous! She looked at the two that were still, both still watching the canine like titan rip into the titan it was attacking.
The claws ripping apart the skin, blood spraying across the stone of the buildings. Muscles flying from the sharp claws and sharp canines ripped into the back of the neck, crunching the weak spot of the titan it was fighting.
"It knows." Sasha whispered, Zeth feeling the blade slip from her hands as she slowly turned from the two that hadn't moved. Her eyes widened as the titan dropped dead below the canine titan, bones crunching under the large paw like hand. "How does it know? When have titans got a mind of their own? What have they been teaching you guys as cadets?"
"Nothing that would prepare us for this..." Sasha whispered as Reiner gave Annie a look. This is all your fault Annie!
Annie narrowed her eyes at Reiner's look, but Reiner was more focused on the canine type titan focusing back on them. The low rumbling shaking the cadets to their core, Zeth feeling like her heart momentarily stopped. Fear chilling his blood.
"Sasha! Sasha, what are you doing?" Zeth panicked, trying to grab the brunette's arm but her fingers brushed against her arm. Freezing at the low growl that the titan rumbled out; but Sasha didn't. She couldn't really put her finger on it, but there was... Something familiar.
"Are you fucking insane?" Reiner snapped as Sasha held out her hand to the large titan, her eyes squeezing close at the breath that the titan released. The blonde grabbed Sasha's arm, pulling her back as the titan turned its head. Crawling on all fours away; stalking between the buildings.
"What the hell where you thinking? That thing could have ripped you apart!" Reiner yelled at Sasha who was watching the titan stalk through the streets. Blood dripping down from the canine titan's fangs, dripping onto the stone like a sickening lullaby. Fires crackled, everything seemed to go slow for Sasha. Her attention was focused only on this monster of a titan...
"Sasha! Sasha answer me! What were you thinking?" Reiner yelled, hands placed on her shoulders as he noticed the dazed look she had. Zeth walked over, hand placing on Sasha's back. "What's wrong?"
It reminded me of... Sasha's mind was jumbled, she couldn't think straight. How could she possibly ever have those thoughts? It made her sick to her stomach, to ever compare... "Focus. Focus back on the present Sasha, what's going on?"
Reiner said, snapping his fingers lightly in front of her face. Sasha finally focusing back on Reiner; who was still standing in front of him. Her mouth moved, but her voice failed her. Reiner's eyes widened at seeing the mouthed word, the loud roar echoing nearby. Pained.
"Where are you going?!" Zeth yelled as she scooped up her blade, jumping after Sasha who took off. Annie looked at Reiner, giving him an annoyed look. "What the hell happened? You look pale."
"Sabbath... She said Sabbath's name." Reiner whispered, both blondes looking back where the two were soaring toward the pained roars. Annie gritted her teeth, jaw clenching. "Always poking her nose where it doesn't belong. We need to get to them first."
"Annie, this is going too much- too far. They..."
"I don't know, I've never seen anything like this." Annie said, annoyed, her voice cold. Reiner couldn't understand what Annie was thinking. This was her fault! She triggered this chain of reactions, but seemed like she didn't care about what was happening at all. "What do we do next? How do we even..."
"I said I don't know!" Annie yelled at him, Reiner stared at her. Her fist was clenched, her mind was racing. This is all uncharted territory. Annie sighed. "Have you ever seen things like this?"
"No. I haven't." Reiner shook his head, Annie sighed and took off running. Jumping in the air and hooks shooting out, Reiner quickly following after her.
Sasha and Zeth were on a rooftop, watching the canine titan pace in the street. The low, gruttal clicking came from the titan, sharp eyes watching the titan who it was against. A chunk of muscle ripped from the shoulder joint of the canine titan, the beast walking weirdly with a limp.
"It's hurt..." Sasha whispered, Zeth sighing. Her hand lightly hitting her forehead as she paced behind Sasha. "You really can not be thinking of helping a titan? Sasha have you completely lost your mind? Why would we really help the one thing that has been threatening the existence of humanity?"
"Think about it... This titan hasn't attacked us even once. We could guide it to attack the titans we need it to. We could help the others!" Sasha explained while looking at the pacing Zeth. Reiner and Annie glanced at each other, then back at Sasha. "Are you suggesting what I think you're suggesting?"
Reiner spoke up, Sasha looking back with a determined nod. Zeth covered her face, muttering under her breath, "Why do I stay around these crazy people...?"
Then she glanced up, at the beast of a titan, then sighed. Her hands switching the dull blades into new, sharp ones. "Alright. Guess we're helping a titan."
