The air was hot, the smoke was thick in the cadets lungs. Everyone was on edge, none of them really knew if they were going to survive till tomorrow. How could they...? The walls have been breached, this was real life now. Real titans up close, all of these lives were in the grasp of death.
Blood sprayed in the air, the loud thump rumbling as the dead titan fell to its knees as Zeth landed on the edge of the rooftop. There was a steady thump that paired with one odd thump. Dangerous clicks echoed, the canine titan glanced at the dead titan. Smoke left the mouth as it let out an huff, red eyes glancing up at Zeth. Short white hair was ruffling in the humid wind, being around this titan only made the summer heat hotter.
"Whatever demon you are... Don't make me regret listening to Sasha." Zeth muttered, watching the titan stalk through the streets again. It seemed like this canine titan had no thought, no plan, just on the hunt for any titans it saw. No desire for humans, only threats. As if this canine craved for the fights, to be on top; to be the apex predator.
"Where the hell are we even leading this thing to?!" Reiner yelled to Sasha jumped to another rooftop. Sasha looked back before pointing to the armory building. "Armin mentioned that people were trapped there, our supply. If we cut down any titans but the ones leading to that building. That's where this titan will go hunt."
Reiner had to give it to the air headed brunette, she was smarter than people originally thought her to be... The blonde glanced over at Annie who was just staring at the titan. Her mind running. How could this happen? How could this be what they turn into? Why haven't they at least attacked one person yet? Who else could they have attacked... Do they already have control? They couldn't!
"I think we found our secret weapon! Time to get those titans and our comrades free from being pinned." Sasha smiled happily, looking over at Reiner. Then looked down at her gas cans on her sides, tapping them. "Plus... I'm almost empty."
"Look at you, looks like you can think more than just of meat." Zeth spoke with shaking her head. Sasha looked over at her, "Not my idea all the way, Jean talked about it before they came. I just want to bring this guy in to help. We can use all the help we can get today..." Sasha spoke, thinking of Sabbath who has been reported killed.
She really isn't the airhead, totally carefree like I first thought she was. Zeth thought to herself while watching Sasha jump over the broken wall in her way. If this was really how that carefree cadets really acted when on the field... What in the world did they teach you guys...? Why are you guys insane?
"What's with you two?" Zeth suddenly questioned, looking back at Annie and Reiner. These two... They set off warning bells in Zeth's head, she didn't trust them and she couldn't place her finger on why. So she needed to figure out why. They're too calm about seeing this thing. The way they're acting... Could... Something be planned? But that would be insane!
"We don't have time for you to play social right now." Annie said with a scoff, the sound of the scoff getting drowned out by the wind and destruction. Zeth narrowed her eyes, finding that suspicious, but dropped the subject for right now. Annie was annoyingly right, there were bigger problems.
"Hey guys! That's Jean!" Sasha yelled while pointing to the running figure. Connie recognized Sasha and waved happily at seeing the brunette still okay. "Sasha!"
Jean looked back, suddenly yelling out at seeing the canine titan hunting near the cadets. The canine jumped onto a rooftop, the claws ripping into the stone line warm butter. "Sasha, what the hell is that thing? I've never seen an abnormal like that!"
Connie yelled, running over to check on Sasha. She was trying to catch her breath, shaking her head lightly. "That thing... It only attacks titans."
"The fuck? Did you hit your head Sasha?" Connie checked on her head; trying to see if there was any blood or what was happening to Sasha. Because Sasha is talking nonsense like never before. Titans just don't attack each other, they only just want to hunt humans- not even for food but just because.
But yet... Even with all these cadets being so close to it, this canine beast of a titan didn't even give them a second glance. A once over and the titan was looking away disinterested. This was insane. Ymir raised an eyebrow. "The fuck is that thing?"
"No idea, but we can use it like Sasha said. That armory is over run with titans, easiest way to get rid of the titans is to have another hunter to them taking them out. We get in, grab what we need, and get the hell out." Zeth said while crossing her arms. Jean looked betrayed. "Hey! That was my idea!"
"Doesn't matter, stupid." Ymir gave him a look while Jean huffed, complaining under his breath. Red eyes glanced around the surroundings, no titans were walking close by. A loud screech was heard.
The ground shook as the canine jumped down onto the ground, clicks and low growling came from the canine titan. Whatever that screech was, it caught the canine titan's attention and immediately sent into a hunt.
The cadets wanted to take down that titan, but how could they? Would the weak spot even be the same? How would they get close to it? And they wouldn't think about going against Annie right now.
"Wait, is that another titan...?" Zeth asked as they had followed the canine toward the armory tower, following after this strange titan in a beeline toward the tower. Connie nodded. "Yea... Apparently this one saved Mikasa, so we're bringing it to the tower to fight the others."
"What the hell is this world coming to...?" Zeth asked under her breath, not understanding. How could her entire world change? Just this morning she was waking up on her own, in her own little world, stealing like she usually does. All she had was to look out for herself, not worry about anyone else. But now...? Here she was, fighting with cadets she never met before, now in a class she was never apart of...
"This titan knows too..." Reiner commented while narrowing his eyes at the titan stomping on a titan's neck. It confused Reiner. Who could this be? This can't be Sabbath... Can it?
Reiner glanced at Annie who silently shook her head, there was no way that this was Sabbath. Sasha and Mikasa both yelled at the same time as the canine tackled the stomping titan, the titan screeching in pain as the canine's claws ripping into the chest of the other titan.
"Sasha! What the hell did you bring?!" Mikasa yelled at Sasha, whirling quickly onto the brunette with anger in her eyes. She didn't want the titan who saved her to get attacked like this! Not especially by the titan that Sasha led this way- it had to be her fault!
"Back off." Annie snapped, stepping in front of Sasha and narrowing her eyes at Mikasa. Her hands tightened, other cadets covering their ears at the pain from the titan screeching in the air. The canine's claws ripped at his face and neck; spraying boiling blood.
A house was destroyed as the canine titan was thrown against, the canine clicking and leg kicked the stones- muscles tightening and flexing. That injured shoulder was beginning to effect the titan- the canine falling back to the ground as the titan began to stumble to the canine. Angered from the canine titan attacking it.
"Mikasa, I'm gonna kill your savior." Annie said while taking out one of her blades, Mikasa quickly grabbed her own. "Not gonna happen Annie."
Annie narrowed her eyes, body tensing like a spring coiled. Reiner stood behind her, ready to back up Annie. Their reaction sent suspicion in Zeth's mind, something was definitely going on with those two...
"Cannibalism? What the hell?" Armin asked, looking shock as he watched other titans jumped onto the back of the approaching titan. Low growls and clicks echoed, claws swiping and trying to stop the normal titans from approaching them.
Annie glared at Mikasa once more, a dark look in her eyes before she was running past Mikasa to jump off the side of the roof. Hooks launching out and stopping her from crashing into the ground. Mikasa turned quickly, Reiner shoving Mikasa to the side before she could grab Annie.
She glared at him, but her eyes widened as she noticed the titan that saved her. Reiner didn't stop Mikasa as she quickly jumped off the side of the roof. Armin quickly running after her, Reiner narrowing his eyes.
Blades slicing through the back of the necks, Annie protecting the canine titan as the titan crashed into the ground. The limbs twitching once more before stilling, Annie looking back to check on the canine titan.
There you are, Sabbath.
