I love you not only for what you are, but for what I am with you. I love you not only for what you have made of yourself, but for what you are making of me. I love you for the part of me that your bring out. Roy Croft

"What it is," I answered the phone.

"Ain't nothing. What you got going," Marc asked.

"Chilling on it. You talked to Tim?"

"Yeah, just got off the phone with him. That's why I'm calling. He said he found a really good price on the video for And I Did Just That. All we have to do now is figure out what three locations we want to use and get some models."

"That's wassup," I replied. We had a decent budget for the project. We'd all sacrificed portions of our checks from summer jobs so we could afford the video. If Tim really had found a decent price for the video, we'd have a little more for models and wardrobe.

"Zay, man, are you listening," Marc asked, bringing me out of my thoughts.

"My bad. What did you say?"

"I said maybe we could get some of the cheerleaders to be in the video and not worry about hiring models."

That would definitely save money, I thought, but I wasn't so sure about it. "How would we choose?"

"Well, Jasmine, Bianca and Isis would indubitalbly agree," he said shockingly.

"Hold up, did you just say..."

"Don't hate," he interrupted. "I'm trying to step my vocabulary game up."

"Is that right," I laughed.

"But anyway, Gisele and the twins would likely agree as well. The six of them are like some of the baddest girls in the school. Top model material. Perhaps Angel and Sierra too, but we need to finalize the concept before we consider anymore."

I moved the phone from my ear to look at the screen so I could make sure I was actually talking to Marcus Bush. "Umm..." I didn't know what to say. I'd never heard him talk like that outside of school. Come to think of it, I'd never heard him talk like that period.

"Zay," he said after it became clear I wasn't going to say anything.

"Real talk, you got me tripping right now. Not with the video stuff, but..."

"My linguistic skills," he finished.

I laughed again. "I guess so."

"It's from all those prep classes. By adding the words to my vocabulary, I increase the probability of perfect recall of the definition and its use regarding sentence structure."

"Alright, you're starting to scare me. Since you're using all these big words now, does that mean you'll be more mature," I asked curiously. He was quiet for a moment.

"Zay, I know you met damn, cuz you know damn well," he said causing me to crack up. "Real talk though, I have been thinking about being with only one girl for a while. I mean, just to see how it goes."

"Are you serious," I asked in disbelief. To say Marc had commitment issues would be an understatement. Plus, he was a bit of a dog, but I didn't hold it against him. Then again, he was a popular, good looking seventeen year old who was a starter on the state champion basketball team and he could sing his butt off.

"Naw, fool, I'm Marcus," he laughed. "But for real tho, I want to be with one special girl."

"Do you have someone in mind?"
