I woke up and blinked a few times. I saw monitors lining my bedside,.tubes in my arms, and a bandage around my mid section. A nurse walked in and before I could say a word, she ran off. A few minutes later, Chooki ran to my side. one side of his face was bandaged up. I chuckled.
"HI Gen..." I joked.
"Hi Ray." he said.
He held my hand and kissed it gently.
"How are you?" I whispered.
"Im fine... how are you?" He asked.
"I'm fine... Like I promised." I smiled.
"I better let you rest.I love you." he said before he kissed my forehead.
"I love you to." I whispered.
A few minutes later, the nurse came back in, she told.me I only had a few more days left to live. I told her Not to tell Chooki, but I did ask for a pencil and paper. She came back with both a few minute later and she helped me sit up. I realized that there was a breathing machine. I sat up and wrote him a.note. when I was finished I called the nurse back in. I told her when I died to give the note to Chooki. She understood what I said and she promised me She would. I lay back down and fell asleep... It was the last time I closed my eyes and the last time I saw Chooki.
