I was getting ready for the mission in an old training room. I had earlier found it being filled with weapons, that was in surprisingly good condition. The table completely covered with weapons since I was making a list of all the weapons that the Institute had and was usable. I was also taking those aside that I would need on my mission.
I wrapped my hoodie better around me when a cold breeze hit me. The whole institute was cold except the office and kitchen, latter one being warm only when the stove was on. The constant feeling of being watched and followed didn't help either. During the night I had tried to sleep in one of the bedrooms but ultimately ended up switching to sleep in the office. I kept hearing noises and footsteps. One point I was sure someone also had opened the door of the room where I had been sleeping at first.
While I was making the list, my eyes caught something familiar. A Whip. With a tiny exhale, I picked it up delicately. It had a wooden handle, with a leather tail. "the one Izzy had were better," I whispered silently, with a small smile until the guilt rushed over me again. I put the weapon away and swallowed my tears. It was past and there was no way I could bring my dead sister back no matter how much I wanted to. Deep down I knew there was no way I could have stopped her from running away with Simon, but it was silenced by the guild and blame I got from my family. In the end, she was dead by now, and it kept me going. I lost my sister because of downwolders, so now they all will pay for it.
