thirteen times within the span of twenty five days. that's how many times jungkook had seen the familiar unfamiliarity of those crimson locks, whether it be at the diner or just walking down the street. he wasn't counting or anything, could care less about the boy, but it was hard to just overlook something so eye catching.

his break was fun nonetheless. he and his hyungs went on a mini vacation to seoul for a concert. g-dragon, if you must know, they had an amazing time. his mother had also taken him to jeju island for christmas and the new year. spending time with the woman he loved most in the world was enough for him though, the island was just another perk.

alas, school would start up again, senior year for jungkook, yoongi and namjoon. taehyung, hoseok and jimin of course too, but as of now, they are merely blurs in his eyes.

the day started as it normally would, jungkook's alarm clock screeching at him to get up. he rubbed his sleep filled eyes as he walked towards the bathroom. hot water steamed the mirrors as he showered, a slight fog beginning to form in the room. it was the first day of senior year, most people would've tried to make some sort of impression but jungkook didn't care. he threw on a white tee and jeans, a slung a flannel around his shoulders.

after snagging an apple from the fridge he stepped out the door and began walking to school. he lived only 10 minutes away so it wasn't too horrible to walk. as he neared the park neighboring the high school, he caught a glimpse of namjoon, his somewhat faded blue hair sticking out like a sore thumb. he started to jog a little bit, the cold january air burning his lungs.

"joon hyung!" he called out hoarsely. the boy turned around quickly, a large dimply grin growing on his face as he saw the younger.

"jungkookie! so good to see you! how was your trip to jegu?" namjoon asked, embracing the shorter boy in a friendly hug. jungkook's signature bunny smile flashed as he laughed.

"it was good hyung thank you for asking, its good to see you too! where is yoongi?" his voice grew worried talking about yoongi.

"slept in, i called him just before you got here and he said he was on his way." namjoon answered casually, dismissing jungkook's concern. yoongi had a habit of oversleeping, it wasn't anything new. the two boys conversed as they waited for the other, and he soon arrived, bed head still prominent.

"yoongi hyung! finally decided to get up huh?" jungkook teased, yoongi just glared at him with dead eyes, namjoon chuckling at the encounter.

"c'mon let's go get our schedules." the tallest proposed. the other two nodded and together they walked to the table holding everyone's agenda, the singular sheet of paper that determined how miserable your year would be based on its contents. they stood in line for quite some time. once they reached the front, namjoon and yoongi grabbed theirs first. jungkook quickly found his and walked over to his hyungs, who were already discussing what classes they shared.
