“Thought Of You” Chapter Three
(Jacque’s POV)
As I sprinted down the escalator almost tripping while walking off I looked around the smaller downstairs part of the store. Alex and Rachel were looking at the ‘Winnie the Pooh’ section and I immediately ran up to them looking behind me to make sure Liam wasn’t coming downstairs. They turned around when they saw me and Rachel asked “what’s the matter you look like you’ve won the lottery or something.” I just grinned from ear to ear and said “follow me and I’ll tell you” and the two of them walked outside towards the seating in the middle of Times Square. “Okay we’re good” I said looking back once more at the store incase Liam decided to walk out. “So I went upstairs looking for something for my brother and just as I went to grab a woody doll who else grabs it none other than THE Liam Payne” I said still smiling and shaking at the same time. The two of them just looked at me jaws dropped. “OH MY GOSH how does that even happen?!” Alex asked looking like she was about to jump up and run back into the Disney store. “Wait there’s more he also asked for my number so we could stay in touch” I said, this got them even more excited. “Ahhh so did he text you yet?!” Rachel asked. Her asking that made it hit me, what if he’d already forgotten? Or what if it fell out of his pocket? All these questions began running through my mind for all I know he could’ve just been being polite. “No and he probably already forgot about me” I said my smile fading. “FORGOT?! Jacque he wouldn’t have asked if he didn’t want to call or text you” Alex said which in a way did make sense but a superstar like Liam doesn’t just ask girls like me for my number and actually get in contact afterwards. We continued to talk about it but kept it hushed, we didn’t want any other fans hearing about it and swarming with questions like do I have his number, where is he now etc.
(Liam’s POV)
After meeting Jacque I noticed she went downstairs rather quickly probably to tell someone like her friends hopefully word didn’t spread where I was somehow I knew I could trust her which is crazy considering I just met her. I decided to go look for Niall which was rather easy he was sitting down on one of the benches watching cartoons with the younger children in awe. “Nialler you’re such a kid” I said sitting down next to him. He looked at me and laughed saying “who’s the one that wanted to come here and watches Toy Story all the time?” I laughed with him, it was true I did love Disney. I then took the piece of paper out of my pocket which had Jacque’s number on it and decided to put her into my contacts list. “What’s that?” Niall asked staring at the paper “it’s a number from a girl I just met she was really nice so I thought I’d stay in contact” I said already feeling my cheeks burn just thinking about her, there was something that I couldn’t quite put my finger on she was just something different. “Oi look at you go Liam” Niall said chuckling he knew after Danielle and I broke up I hadn’t really been looking for anyone else I was just enjoying being single. “Are you gonna text or call her?” he asked and at that moment I pulled out my phone and texted her: “Heyy Jacque its Liam uh I was wonderin if u wanna get something 2 eat 2moro nite? xx” I sent the text and put my phone away wondering if she’d answer.
(Jacque’s POV)
My phone vibrated just as we were discussing what to do next and I looked down to see I received a text from an unknown number. After I read it I squealed my friends looked at me with confusion so I showed them it was from Liam. “OMG he texted you see we told you he would” Rachel said jumping in her seat. My heart began pounding just like it did when I met him and I made sure to add him to my contacts and began texting him back: “Hi Liam yea sure I’d love to have dinner with you tomorrow but I’d have to take a train in since I live on L.I. :) x” I sent the text and hoped I get a reply soon. It was so weird though that he’d actually taken an interest in me I mean he could have any girl in the world and he picked me, not that I’m complaining though I mean Liam is the type of guy any girl would love to be with. He texted me back in a matter of minutes saying: “How about I come 2 u and we cn eat at ur fav restaurant? :D xx” I texted him back saying that was fine and my address and he said he’d pick me up around 7pm and our date was set. I felt it was better that he’d be coming to me seeing as how the city is less private and having all eyes on him 24/7 might get annoying he might want some privacy so I made sure to think of the perfect quite restaurant. My friends and I were walking to the venue to just hang out with some other Directioners and talking along the way. “I still can’t believe you’re going on a date with him” Rachel said acting like she was the one he’d asked out I laughed and agreed it was still crazy to think about. “When you two are together, together you’ve gotta set us up with the other boys” Alex said and of course I agreed the other boys would love my friends and it’s the least I could do after not even telling them he was upstairs in the store probably with one of the other boys. Once at the venue I told the girls to not say a word about my date with Liam because I didn’t want a swarm of girls asking questions and also death glares from girls who didn’t believe me so we all kept it on the down low. Instead we just sang with the other fans and would beg security to let the boys come out when they got to the venue, I kind of hoped if they did come out Liam wouldn’t see me I mean it’d be embarrassing to be freaking out over him and then see him tomorrow night totally calm.
7pm
I was getting late and the boys had already shown up for soundcheck but weren’t allowed to come out to greet fans so once the show started we decided to hop on a train and head home. Once on the train my friends again fangirled at how I’d be going on a date with Liam. “Ok we’re coming over an hour early and helping you get ready, hair, makeup everything” Rachel said already mentally planning on what to do. “Yea we’ve gotta go through your closet and find you something cute to wear” Alex said agreeing. I laughed but at the same time was nervous because I wanted to look alright for him, when going out with your celebrity crush or any guy you want to look good. After the hour long train ride and the 20min car ride I got to my house, slipped on my pjs and went straight to bed getting ready for the stressful and hopefully great day ahead of me tomorrow.
