Going Home

The following morning Olivia and I got up very early. Our flight was leaving at 6am and we needed to be there by at least 5.

Getting up was a struggle. I don't even remember half the things I did.

Olivia and I were currently driving to the airport listening to the radio.

"I'm gonna miss it here." Olivia said

"Me too." I agreed.

*at the airport*

I was sitting in one of those gross chairs waiting for my flight to be called. like really those airport chairs bother me. They're not comfy and just ugh.

"Flight 122 to New Jersey please board your plane." the lady on the intercom announced.

Olivia and I shared a sad glance and went to board the plane.

While waiting online to hand the flight attendant our ticket the guy in front of me was having a conversation with his friend. I couldn't help but think how he reminded me of Dylan.

Same broad shoulders with the same colored hair. Grr! I really am going to miss him. I just hope he remembers me.

*on plane*

Unfortunately our flight was being delayed because of some assholes who were acting up.

The wait was torturous and was making my butt go numb.

I began reading my book, the Mortal Instruments. I immediately became hooked!

*at airport In New Jersey*

"That flight was terrible" Olivia complained

I nodded and put our luggage in our car.

"I'll drive." I offered.

"Thank you!" Olivia exclaimed.

We drove in silence, a little jet lagged from the flight.

As we reached our little town we became excited to see our family whom we haven't seen for 5 months.

Even though our college is close we don't see the need to travel back and forth to visit all the time.

I dropped Olivia off at her house which was down the street from mine. then I took off to mine.

I took in the familiar sight of the flowers my mom plants in the front and the small little things that circle my house. gosh I missed this placed.

I saw my mom rush out and run toward the car. I got out and embraced her warm hug.

"I missed you mom!"

"I missed you too sweet heart! Now let me help you with your bags!"

As my mom got the rest of my bags I decided to go inside.

The scent of lavender filled the air.this is the house I grew up in.

It's just me and my mom in this big old house. my dad passed away 3 years ago.

I walked up the stairs and into my room. It was pink and I had white furniture.

I jumped on the bed and smiled, glad to be home.

*1 hour later*

I was brushing my hair getting ready for bed when my phone beeped.
