Owen -

Multiple breaths could be heard in the room as Owen woke up.

The hard surface he had been laying on was cold, he felt as if he had been killed and then revived back to life again. His head pounded with an annoying headache and he was cold all over.

Slowly after a few tries he pushed himself up into a sitting position. His eyesight was blurry so he could only blindly feel around on the floor after his glasses, after finding them and putting them on he noticed that one side was broken so they were hanging at a weird angle with some cracks in the glass. But he didn't mind, at least he could see something.

Rubbing his temples he looked around the room, it was a simple but old room. The walls were once shiny light blue and white tiles, but they were now dimmed over with a layer of filth and some of the tiles had simply fallen off the wall, showing cement walls underneath. The cold floor he woke up on was also cement, but it had a few cracks and dirty footprints showing.

The spiderwebs hanging on the walls were big, and showed a lot of dead insects. Owen had to tell himself that he didn't hear rats running on the floors.

Now that he got a better look of the room, he could see that it was quite spacious. Beds lay littered along the walls. But they couldn't really be called beds, they were just metallic thin legs and a thin metallic bottom placed on the legs, the white paint was chipped on almost all of the beds too. An annoying flicker could be seen all around the room thanks to the old lightbulbs hanging from the ceiling.

On the beds lay his eight other brothers. He got up to his feet as fast as he could with a splitting headache, black spots lingered in his vision after moving too fast. Stumbling over to one bed he could see his friend Sean lay on it.

He was pale and his hair was matte against his forehead, in his arms you could see that he had gotten many needle injections due to the tiny holes that sit on them.

Sean was breathing, thank god. Owen thought. After seeing that Sean was breathing, he slowly made his way around the room checking if his brothers were breathing, and they all were. Moving back to his oldest friend, he tried to weakly shake him awake. After some tries Sean woke up.

''Ugh, i feel horrible.'' His friend breathed out slowly. All he could do was hug his friend, the relief he felt was simply overwhelming.

''Sean, you need to help me wake up the boys.'' He said slowly to his groggy friend. ''Where am i?'' Was the response he got.

All he could do was slap his oldest friend. He needed help now, and quickly. Especially since they were basically all lost.

''Oweeeen, what was that for?'' Sean whined sounding more awake.

''I don't have time to explain, just help me wake the guys up. This is urgent!''

Together they both helped each other with waking the guys up, the question that remains now is where they all are and why they don't remember anything leading up to them waking up here.

Their thoughts were all dispersed when they all heard an ear piercing scream.

--

The cold winds whipping against my small and frail body were ice cold, making me feel as if though i'd been pushed into water in the winter. no matter how much i huddle into myself, the coldness wont go away. It wont go away.

I was so cold, and the wind sounded like screams.

It was so loud. Too loud.

Whimpering, i try to scamper away to the nearest tree, but the fog making that action nearly impossible. After i find it, i slouch down against it.

I was so tired, i wanted away.

My ears felt as if they would explode, the frost biting away on my skin felt as if i'd been burned alive. it burned, it hurts, it's too much.

I put my hands one my ears and screamed, the sound was loud and shrill. A noise nearly foreign to my own ears.

I didn't stop screaming even as i saw black spots dance over my vision.Slowly the cold began to face into warmth, and i could only lean into it. Never noticing the darkness that engulfed me whole into a dark abyss.

I'm all alone.

—All that could be heard was water dripping down from a broken sink, the pitter patter of stray cats that found their way into the asylum, and the shallow breaths coming from the girl laying on a cold thin bed in the middle of a very white room. The medicine from an iv that had once been injected into the girl had long since stopped. In that one room, she had been forgotten. Almost as if time had stopped here. She's all alone.
