CH.6

Carmen POV

Oh gosh!. He getting nearer
When he reaches my table, he whispers in my ear. "I see you received my gift". I feel everyone's eyes on me. "Yes, it was beutiful", I said. "I was heading out and wanted to say goodbye", Drew said. I was wasn't expecting this next. Drew lifted my hand and kissed the back of it. "Sorry to interrupt you alls brunch, but I just had to say goodbye to Carmen", Drew apologized.
I wish everyone would stop staring at me. "So he is the dude that gave you that necklace", my mom stated. "Is he like your sugar daddy or something"? Brianna sarcastically asked. "No", I replied.

Later .................

I'm so glad this thing is over, but I'm trying to mentally prepare myself for the speech my dad is going to give me when I get home.
I decide to use the bathroom before I leave. As I am entering the restroom, I over My Aunt Molly and my grandmother talking very secretive about something. "I thought Nancy and Terry would have told her by now", my aunt whispered. "I just hope they tell her soon". On that note I decided not to enter the restroom. I started to feel queasy. I have bad feeling .

1 hr later..........

"Who is this Carter guy to you"? my dad asked. "He is just a friend", I replied. "Don't lie to me"? "I don't want you to see him. And why do want to be involved with an older man"? he asked. "There are plenty guys your age".
Something in me snapped. "I'm 18, There is nothing wrong about this! I shouted. "Don't raise your voice at me", my dad bellowed.
" Is there something that you need to tell me"? I asked. "Is there something you need to tell me?" he asked. Just forget it. I stomp up to my and and slam the door as hard as I can. Ugh!
