I glanced over at the passenger seat, where he sat, blindfold covering his eyes. Some of his hair had gotten caught in the fold, but he wasn't complaining.
Pulling into the parking lot, I reached over and pulled the fabric from his crimson eyes.
“Corby?” I nodded.
“Yeah. It's not private or open, but I like watching the moon on the pond.” He smiled, leaning over the console of the truck and pressing his lips to mine briefly.
“It's perfect, babe.” I smiled at him, kissing him again.
“It's a beautiful night. Let's go for a walk?” He nodded, sliding out of the truck. He walked around, opening the door for me as I turned the truck off. I grasped his hand as I stepped out, our rings glinting in the moonlight. As we walked away, I locked the truck, tangling my fingers properly with his.
The trees were thick, not letting much light through, but it was here that you couldn't tell you were in the middle of civilization. You couldn't tell that mansions were literally five minutes away. That the main road in town was ten.
I looked over at him, cheekbones highlighted in the dappled moonlight. It shown off his hair, blending it into a periwinkle. I leaned over to him, kissing him passionately in the middle of Corby Park.
