♛  CHILD'S FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL ♛

"Rise and shine Cayden! Do you know what day it is today?" You asked your son. "My first day of school mummy!" he said excitedly as he jumped out of bed and ran into the bathroom to get ready and get dressed. "What do you wanna wear today bud?" "Umm i reckon i wanna wear skinny jeans like daddy and a...... tshirt!" "Alright, get dressed!" You said as you left his room and headed into the kitchen to help Calum cook breakfast. As you made it downstairs you would hear Cayden following you into the kitchen, "Daddy! Look im wearing black skinny jeans just like you!" he exclaimed whilst pointing between his jeans and Cal's, "Yeah you are! They even look better on you!" Calum replied whilst putting a plate of pancakes on the table. "Eat up Cayd. Dont want to be late on your first day!" You said as you sat on Calum's lap and listened to your son go on about how excited he was and how he wanted to make loads of friends. "It feels like just yesterday I held him in my arms for the first time" you whispered to Calum as you lightly kissed his cheek. "Yeah I know, but its okay he's gonna be fine. I can see it now, he's gonna be such a ladies man just like his dad" Cal replied cheekily as you chuckled. "Let's go! I dont want to be late!" Cayden said running outside to the car. After a 30 minute drive you were finally at school. As you walked to your son's class hand in hand you could feel the tears threatning to spill. "Alright buddy here we are! You ready?" Cal asked Cayden as he kneeled down infront of your son, "Of course im ready! I was born ready!" Cayden replied. "Alright bud, me and daddy will be right here to pick you up later yeah? Have a good day Cayds" you said "Bye mummy. Bye daddy" he said as he gave you a kiss on the lips and hugged you and Cal goodbye. "He's all grown up" you cooed as you watched him walk into his class.

"Today's the day Y/N. Allie is finally becoming a big girl and starting school" Luke said his voice wavering slightly. Both you and Luke were not looking forward to this day, you were excited for your daughter to finally become a big girl and start school but you enjoyed her company at home when Luke was out with the boys recording or on tour. Your duaghter ran into the room picking up her bag that was much too big for her small little body. "Mummy, Daddy im ready to go!" she said excitedly as she extended her hands out to be held by you and Ash "Alright gorgeous lets go!" You said placing Allie in the car. As you got to school there were little children running around, making new friends and hugging their teary parents goodbye. "Hey Al, i want you to have the best day today okay? you're gonna make tons of friends!" you said bending down to her level "I'm definitely gonna have the best day and make lots of friends mummy!" she replied excitedly smiling widely with her dimples showing through. "C'mere nugget" Luke said motioning her into a tight hug "I love you okay? Have a good day beautiful" "I love you too daddy" she said into Luke's neck. "Do you wanna go make some friends or do you want me and daddy to stay with you until class starts" you asked her knowing she would choose to go make friends considering how much she had been talking about making friends for the past week, "Make friends" she said with a determined voice as she ran off to a group of kids and began talking to them instantly her bright and bubbly personality shining through instantly. "Look at her go. I'm positive she'll be fine babe" Luke said squeezing your hand tightly "Yeah i know but she's just so young and i didnt think this day would come so quickly. She's just so grown up" you replied quietly wiping a tear from your eye. "Well no matter what she'll always be our baby" Luke said as you made your way back to the car.

It was usually like Ashton to be extremely nervous. He was always the laid back parent out of the two of you, he always kept you grounded and made sure you never got to nervous about anything, but today was different. You could feel him tossing and turning constantly during the night. You had a feeling it might've had to do with your son Riley's first day at school today. You could tell he was awake as he laid beside you staring blankly at the ceiling, "You alright Ash?" you mumble quietly "Um, yeah i think so. I think im just really nervous and kinda scared to let Riley go today" he says chuckling lightly, "Babe, dont worry about him, he'll be fine, im sure he'll make tons of friends" you say lightly pecking him on the lips. You look over to the clock on the side of your bed and it reads 7:45am, "Mummy! Daddy! Wake Up! I want to go to school!" your son Riley yelled jumping onto your bed. Ashton grabbed him by the wasit tackling him down the bed "Why don't you go get ready and then we'll go yeah?" "Okay okay! Stop tickling me and I'll go" Riley replied laughter erupting though the room. Ashton sighed heavily as Riley left room, you could still tell he was nervous about leaving your son, he was having a slight case of seperation anxiety. "Ash, babe i promise you if he;s anything like you or me he'll be fine. Trust me on this yeah?" you said trying to calm his nerves "What would I do without you" he said as he pecked your lips lightly. "Okay I'm all ready to go!" Riley said appearing in the door way, you and Ash instantly got up and got changed. You decided to walk to school considering it was a 10 minute walk away, "Here goes nothing" Ashton whispered as you entered the school gates squeezing your hand tightly. As you all walked to Riley's homeroom he ran off to play with some boys playing around with some tonka trucks and cars. "I guess that's it, he's all grown up" Ash said quietly waving to your oblivious son.

Your usually loud and bubbly daughter seemed awfully quiet this morning. Today was her first day of school and considering she was beyond excited the night before this seemed very strange. "Whats wrong Kenz?" Michael asked noticing your daughters strange mood. "Hmm?" she replied seeming startled by Michael's voice, "Whats wrong?" you asked her again, "oh, nothing mummy im fine" she said quietly. "Are you nervous about your first day Kenz?" Michael asks trying to get some information out of your daughter, she lightly nodded as she looked down at her feet "Im scared" she whispered just loud enough for you and Michael to hear. Your heart shattered a little as you looked over to Michael. "Why are you scared" you asked Mackenzie as she moved over to your lap, "What if no one like me mummy? What if I make no friends?" "You'll make friends i pinky promise" you said as you put your pinky finger out for her to pinky promise. "Guess what Mackenzie" Michael asked your daughter "What daddy?" "I always get scared before I go on stage and play in front of heaps of people! But then when i get on and i start having fun i dont feel scared anymore!" Michael adviced your daughter, "You get scared?" she asking smiling "Yeah, sometimes, not always of course" Michael said chuckling. "Okay! Im ready to go! Im not scared anymore!" she said excitedly as she grabbed her bag and ran to the car. The drive was loud with Mackenzie singing loudly to the songs that came onto the radio. When we got to the school she instanstly got out the car and ran ahead. "Kenz! Come say hi to your teacher!" you called out to your daughter, "Hi!" she says all puffed out, "Hey Mackenzie, are you enjoying playing with all the other kids?" her teacher asked as she kneeled down to your daughters level. "Mhmm, I've already made some friends!" "See Kenz told you you'd make friends! Now go play!" Michael said lightly kissing her forehead. "We'll be back later to pick her up" you informed her teacher, "Bye Kenz!" "Bye mummy! Bye daddy!" she yelled running back into the class. "I think we should treat ourselves to some food dont you think?" "Yes definitely" you replied as you and Michael make you way back to the car hand in hand.
