Okay so... If you are a fellow fujoshi, you have probably heard of the anime Gravitation. If you haven't... Let me say, don't waste your time on it. But spoiler alerts if you do still wanna watch it.
Let me just say, the first episode is... Fine, I think it is sorta comical actually. However, sometimes the characters are just sorta I don't know... They make me cringe. A lot.
Okay. Suichi the main character has a very interesting childish aura about him. Despite being the songwriter and lead singer in his new band 'Bad Luck' He is really bad at writing love lyrics and struggles with this considering he has a deadline he needs to reach.
He goes outside and his paper floats out of his hand and an author of romance novels picks up his lyrics and starts to berate him on how bad they are. Shuichi doesn't know the name of this author or even that he is an author. He just doesn't like that the guy is saying his lyrics are awful...
Anyways, long story short, in the very first episode they end up kissing. At least that is how I remember it... That usually doesn't bother me, but it did for some reason in this case.
I usually would have probably been okay with it, but after that, there is like this constant coldness that the seme has to the uke... Which usually dissipates slightly after a kiss.It just makes me very uncomfortable. I mean if you like that stuff in a BL anime/manga, then great, there is no shame in that, but I just can't really get into it that easily.
Also, this was based off my personal thoughts from about a year ago when I first watched it... Now, granted, it may not be as bad as I remember it. But first impressions are very important to me. If I don't like something at first, I am sceptical of trying it again.
Also.... The character design bugs me. Just a little bit though, because it isn't as bad as some of the very stereotypical yaoi/shounen-ais out there... But..... tHe ChInS!1!1!1 They look like 'v's
I don't like 'v' chins... If you do... Good for you, but I DO NOT.
So there you have it, little rant about why I don't like Gravitation
End Question
Is it weird to call yourself 'chan'? I wanna know... Because, I sometimes see people do it, and it makes me wonder whether or not that would be considered weird or normal... Its kinda like saying "*insert name here* cutie" Do you get what I am saying?
What do I know I'm just an amateur otaku trying to keep up with all the professionals.... (Notice me aki-senpai)
