Chapter One || the heartbreak
Celestine's POV

NAPAhawak ako sa dibdib ko ng marinig ko yung last words nung lalake bago siya mawalan ng malay. Maang na napatingin sakin si Aaron. I know he's wondering. But I'm wondering too. I dunno what was that. I'm scared and after all of this, I think I wouldn't function well.

Napabalik ang tingin niya sa lalake at napatayo.

"We better wait here Celli. I think he'll be alive," he said and I just nodded involuntarily before following him at the other side of the locker area.

*WANG WANG WANG WANG*

Noises were heard. Pero tulala lang ako. I think I was a bit traumatized. The death threat wasn't being forgotten by my little mind.

After that kinuha na nila yung guy na duguan for him to recover raw and ii-interrogate rin daw kami ni Aaron ng mga cops. Pero they let us rest first.

I can't still believe. Napulot ko ulit yung yellow paper kanina and mahigpit kong hinahawakan na akala mo naman makakatakas. I think i need this.

"What was that a while ago Celli?" I heard Aaron spat out beside me. His voice was damn serious while looking somewhere.

"W-what...about a while ago?" I asked.

"Yung sinabi nung lalake'ng yun! He was threatening you! What else would I ask??" he asked almost shouting.

"U-uhm...here," nag aalangan kong sabi at binigay ang papel. Pinagkunutan niya pa yung papel at ako ng noo bago niya ito kinuha.

He brushed his face using his hands and halatang sobrang naiirita siya.

He sighed after some seconds. Composing himself, I guess?

"This...started from you..." sabi niya and his hand clasped the other hand of his. "Do you remember someone mad at you or....you've done something wrong before?" seryosong pagtatanong niya.

"N-no! Uhmm.... I don't remember such things," mahinang sagot ko.

He sighed and looked at me. "Would you forgive me if I ask you to do me a favor?" biglang tanong niya. Okay? I dunno what to answer. Eventually, ngayon lang kami nagkausap ng ganito kaseryoso. As in.

"Anything...that..I can," sabi ko. Trying not to stutter.

"You can let the cops investigate about this. Pero...could you please give this paper to me? I mean...let me investigate this too," sabi niya.

"H-ha? But why? This could help the police too.." sabi ko.

"Basta. I am not forbidding you to keep this as a secret. I mean. Pwede mo namang sabihin na may threat sayo eh. Basta sakin ang papel. Just say you dropped it when the incident happened? Please..." sabi niya. The seriousness lessen and he looked at me begging.

But why?

I wanna ask but no words get out of my mouth.

I just sighed and nodded. "Fine,"

He smiled and murmured quick thanks bago nagpaalam na may pupuntahan lang raw siya sandali.

I sighed. Baka nangamusta sa girlfriend niya.

Well, Aaron had been my crush. I know I look like a typical highschool girl that is being secretly in love with her crush and silly. I can't believe myself. Ganun siguro talaga. Life is unfair. Kasi may girlfriend na siya. That's why uminom ako last night kasi last night ko lang nalaman.
