All of a sudden, I ran into a hard chest, enough to knock me over. It wasn't Alex, he was helping me up with all my things already in his hands. This man, I remembered him from this morning. He was the one who told everyone to stop talking.
And the look on his face was telling me that it was a mistake I ran into him.
Before I could stand up, his hand was around the collar of my shirt. Here we go, again.
"You better watch where you're walking. Don't want the precious girl to get too hurt." He growled, obviously not happy. His friends chuckled when he went to raise his fist to me. I closed my eyes, waiting for impact when Alex jumped in front, catching his hand.
"Leave her alone Blaze." He growled back. I was dropped in an instant, trying to catch my breath.
"Alex, you have nothing against me and you know that." Blaze chuckled, glancing back at me, "I could tear you and her apart in an instant."
"You wouldn't dare touch me." Alex threw Blaze's hand down and shook his head, grabbing me up.
"Let's go Bex." Alex mumbled, reaching in my locker and putting my stuff away and grabbing my bag. "We don't need to be around them."
Highly confused, I just stayed with him. We had just met and he was already defending me? Talk about a really good friend. I looked back at Blaze, who was surprising just standing there with his friends.
It turned out that Alex was also my neighbor, so he walked home with me.
"What was that about?" I asked. It still didn't make sense to me why he was so quick to defend. Maybe he was just a really nice person, we did need more of those in the world.
"Don't worry about it. Just, if he bothers you again, find me." Alex spoke as we walked up to my house.
"Well, thanks again." I smiled, his hand catching me arm. "Let go of me." I had this thing about people touching me. I pulled my arm away and walked in my house.
"How was your first day?" Willow asked as soon as the door shut. Still trying to comprehend everything, I waved it off and went to my room.
I shut my door and laid on my bed. I had this feeling there was something different about this town. It wasn't like all the others that I've been around. The men were much more built, the females were gorgeous, and they all had this attitude that said 'don't fuck with me.' In every school I've been in, there were a few people who were decent looking but, this was the whole school.

After a few hours, I fell asleep only to be woken up by a knocking on my window. I sleepily rolled over and saw Blaze, the guy from earlier. I was about to grab my phone when he opened the window.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you." He mumbled, knowing it was late at night.
"What are you doing here? How did you know where I am?" I asked, sitting up. He made his way over to my bed and sat next to me.
"I know things." He snapped, "But I need you to know one thing about this place." I raised my eyebrow, still not entirely trusting this man. I mean, he did almost punch me earlier.
"You need to watch who you hang around." Now, if that didn't make sense to you, he tried hitting me, snuck in my house, and is telling me who to hang out with. I started laughing.
"You have no idea who I am. I've been doing that my whole life. And you're one to me what to do. If anything, I'm going to listen to Alex before you." I snapped back at him. There was a pang of hurt in his eyes.
I shook my head, "Get out of my house." I walked over to the window and looked at him.
"Alright then, Princess." He shrugged, about to climb out, "I'll see you tomorrow." He smirked and that was the last I saw him for the night. Who are these people?
