"No" was all he said as I entered his room.
"How did you know it was me? You haven't turned around and I haven't even said anything yet!" his back was to me but I could feel his eyes rolling. "And I thought your were going back to your chores?" he tensed and turned. He was facing me now his body rigid and a faux smile on his face.
"Of course, your highness. How may I assist you?" I was going to reply but instead, I cracked up laughing and a second later so did he.
"Char, I really do need your help" he stopped laughing and was looking serious, but I could see the concern and worry in his brown eyes.
"What's wrong?" even as he said it his eyebrows knitted together.
"I'm not in trouble this time... " his face flooded with relief.
"Oh that's go-"
"Much" i finished. "I'm not in trouble much" he just sighed and walked over to his door and closed it. My confusion showed on my face I'm sure. Upon seeing it he just sighed again and answered the question that was on display on my face.
"I'm just going on a limb to say you want to keep this quiet." I nodded. He turned and twisted the lock. He stalked back to the desk he was sitting at when I first walked in. "Name. "
"I- what?" his eyes rolled and I was about to chastise him for doing such an action, especially given my royal status.
"You came here for information. I need a name. " he said it simply as if he was well versed in our dealings. Now that I think of it, our meetings usually did consist of me asking for one thing or the other.
"Red" I stated. He turned to me a blank look on his face.
"That's a color. " then he was laughing almost uncontrollably. I rolled my eyes again.
"Prince Red the second prince of Enchanta." when i said that he froze. His face turned to one of seriousness and his eyes were full of so many different emotions that they swelled together like the tides. I couldn't pin point a dominant one.
"Okay, " that's all he said as he started to slowly nod his head. "Okay. I'll toss a few pebbles in the water, see what ripples. " he got up and walked to the door and opened it. He bowed to me and gestured to the door. I walked towards it and just when I had stepped out of the doorway and was in the hall, I turned back to him and said;
"Thank you Char." he smiled a bit and I could have sworn he turned a light shade of pink.
"Your welcome Eira."Okay really short chapter, but the next will either be super long or I'll do multiple updates.
