Serena's pov:

About 2 weeks had passed and nothing new had really developed, well nothing good anyway. Issac was basically a no show and Millie was running out of excuses. Not that she was around much anymore either. It was Jade, Jessica, Maya and I mostly. We'd still go to the fry diner after school, the group of Kingswood kids sat across the diner at the booth that mirrored ours and they watched us. Though I had never caught them doing so, I could feel their gaze burning into my side. Today was no exception, except that Jessica didn't come to school again so she was missing out on all the fun. Note the sarcasm.
"Hey Whelan!" Thomas called as he walked in
"Hey" I smiled and I could practically feel the mood at the table shift. I'd been spending more time with Thomas and his friends than before. I'd been smoking more than I used to. But it was kind of nice to have someone around who didn't know anything about me, it was like a false intimacy. We felt like we could talk about anything, except for the things that really matter and I liked that. It felt more authentic than any of the other friendships I had made. Maybe it was because we both knew that eventually we'd out grow one another, a silent mutual agreement to just passing through each other's lives.
"I got something for you." He grinned
"You brought it in the diner?" I raised a brow
"I'm not an idiot, it's in my car."
"How much do I owe you?"
"Well here is the thing..." Thomas smirked
"I am willing to give you a friends and family discount, if you do something for me" he leaned toward me
"Color me intrigued...what do I have to do?" I muse as I let my curiosity bubble
"Give me a kiss" he winked
I could feel all eyes on me from both tables, I leaned in and stared up at Thomas as I did so, I let out a breath and brushed my nose against his.
"Hmmm..." I hummed "Not interested" and I leaned back, slightly flushed but there was a triumphant beam on my face as I laughed
"Oh my god, Thomas you should have seen your face! In all seriousness though, I don't hook up with my dealers. That's like mixing business with pleasure"  I spoke
"You're good, Babe. Don't worry about it." He gave me a lazy smile
"So you aren't upset?"
"Nah of course not." He paused "let's go to my car your weed awaits"
"Okay" I could feel something off in Thomas I clearly made him upset, Thomas wasn't the type to get rejected. I picked up my bag and slung it over my shoulder and I was about to tell him that Jade was gonna come along since I was uneasy, but before I could say a word someone moved in front of me.
"I don't think that's a good idea, Rena." Issac said as he glared into Thomas' eyes.
"What the hell Issac?!" I snap
"He's lying, he's pissed off. Do not get in a car with him." Issac looked and me
Suddenly all the anger I had bottled up was about to burst to the surface and poor Issac is in my line of fire.
"What in the fuck do you care? Huh?"
"Serena" Jade started but I cut her off
"No, don't defend him! Issac fucking made a choice, he chose to go to a new school, he chose to hangout with his new friends instead of us, he chose to ignore us, and he chose to walk in here after school every day and sit at a new table with his new friends and not even give us the time of day." I raged and then I turned to face Issac
"And now he has the audacity to act like he's my friend, like he has been here for me when he has been MIA. I'm sorry but I don't fucking think so."
"Thomas, lets go" I nod my head toward the door
Issac grabs my forearm, "Do not go out there with him, he's a fucking freak and he will try and do something you don't want to do."
"Are you trying to tell me what to do?"
"Damnit Issac." Jade groaned knowing full and well that I hate being talked to like a child, I don't take orders well.
"O000hhhh," I say playing it out like I just got what he meant, "you think Thomas is gonna try and kiss me when I go get my shit from his car."
"You're right," I nod "we'd better just get it out of the way then." I say walking up to Thomas and pulling his face to mine
When our lips meet the feeling is alien, I had never really kissed anyone before but I slowly move my lips against his and he pulls me closer by the belt loops on my shorts and trails his had down to my thigh and tries to hitch it up to his hip but I pull away. The kiss didn't do anything for me but Thomas was a very good kisser.
"Well, now that it is out of the way, we can go to the parking lot safely." I smile sarcastically and I walk out with Thomas by my side.
"Well that was hot." He chuckled giving me my weed
"Here" I go to hand him the money but he make no move to take it
"I think I got my payment in spades." He smirked
"I'll catch you later."
After that he got in his car and drove off. I looked toward the diner and met the gaze of the attractive ring leader of the Kingswood kids table. His stare was intense and I tilted my head curiously. When he stood up and walk toward the exit I decided going back in was a lost cause and started the long walk to my spot in the forest, the need to just feel good and feel the smoke enter my lungs was all I craved right now.
Jade's POV:
"What in the hell was that Issac?" I snapped after their alpha walked out in anger.
"What were you thinking?"
"I didn't realize how upset she was with me." He muttered
"It's not just you." I threw a glare at Amaya and Millie
"Don't look at her like that." Angelo, Amaya's mate, growled
"Look at her like what pup? Like she abandoned her best friend without an explanation? Left her all alone, like Millie and Issac are doing right now." I walked over to the table and got in his face "What are you gonna do about it, bitch?" I shoved him
He nearly fell into the booth but returned my gaze, "I won't fight a woman."
"Pity because I would fucking tear you apart, mutt."
"Guys please stop it." Amaya got in between us
"I'd listen to your friend," Ian spoke "because I don't have any problem fighting anyone who threatens my pack."
"What friend?" I scoffed as I glared into Amaya's dark eyes before returning my attention back to Ian
"You think you could take me?" I laugh "I'd rip your throat out so fast you'd get whiplash."
"That's enough, Jade" the twin of the alpha spoke. I knew he was my mate from the way a shiver went down my spine as he spoke my name.
"Unless you want to fucking take his place I'd shut it." I hissed my eyes cutting into his, my anger overriding any sense of danger in openly challenging the high ranking members of a moon pack.
"Jade lets just go" Maya spoke tugging at my arm
"We need to talk," Ian moved toward her and she shrunk behind me
"Don't fucking touch her." I spat
"She's my-"
"She's off the market, so why don't you keep your dirty fucking hands to your-dirty-fucking-self."
Ian growled and I returned one of my own.
"Jade please can we please go." Maya begged
"Stay the fuck away from her and Jessica." I looked at them "mind your own damn business and we will mind ours."
"I think we both know we can't do that Jade." My mate spoke again
"Hey baby! I thought we were meeting at the school after I got out of the student council meeting!" Nate waltzed in and noticed the situation and like most male humans he thought he could fix it, typical.
"Hey now, what's going on? I hope we are giving these Kingswood students and big Wildcat welcome!" Nate pulled Maya by the waist and held her against him as he rested his head on her shoulder after giving it a quick peck
"Of course Nate," I say with fake enthusiasm "I was just telling Ian here all about how great our school is, and then we just got into a bit of a spat on who has better football teams."
"Oh I get it, well a bit of friendly competition never hurt anybody! We do love our teams at Jefferson High, of course I am more of a soccer man myself." Nate continued
"Ian, aren't you captain of the soccer team." The girl with the strange crystal blue eyes spoke
"I am." Ian gritted out "was made captain when I got back"
"A man after my own heart, I happen to be the co-captain of our soccer team and Maya is the girls soccer captain too. What a crazy coincidence!"
"I bet Nate's better at handling the ball than Ian." I smirked
"Well I don't wanna toot my own horn but I have been scouted by the Ivy's." Nate proudly stated
"You have been too, right Maya?" I add
"Oh uh yes but-"
"Well it will be just so damn cute when you and Nate go off to college together far away from this town, where you can take your classes together, hey maybe you can live together after freshman-" Ian stormed out of the diner and I smirked
"Well I just dropped by to say hi, come on baby I'll drop you at home." Nate excused him and Maya as they left I went to walk away my mate grabbed my arm.
"I don't think so. We are gonna have a little talk, kitten."

Maya POV:
Nate dropped me off and I sighed as he drove away. God what am I doing. I really like Nate but the more time that passes the more I think about Ian. How much I want to talk to him, to touch him, to...god I need to control myself. I've worked way to hard to get into Harvard and I don't want to give up Nate and I's dream for some guy I met for a few seconds. Nate and I at Harvard, together. That was the plan. I don't want to change the plan.
"We need to talk." Ian's voice caused me to jump and I looked to see him leaning against a tree
"We have nothing to talk about." I mutter
"Yes we do, and Jade isn't here to stop us from doing so."  He spoke walking over to me
"So we can do this the easy way" he leaned in and whispered "or we could do this my way."
"I-I um" I stuttered as he grazed the shell of my ear with his lips before nibbling with his teeth and then pulled away
"The choice is yours, mate" he spoke
