[Brad's POV]

I was still in shock. The other day, when he touched my hand, I felt something. So much infatuation. More than what my wife could ever give me nowadays.

It's been 3 days since I went to the barbecue with Karen. I was just talking with Joe and then it happened. I was confused because no other man that I've had an interest in has ever done something so sly. Since most of the woman can sense something strange around here, I would've thought my wife would sense something. But she didn't. She kept going on about how Bill's wife, Janice, got sent to work in a different part of the hospital and how she got this new recipe from one of the neighbors that the kids would "love".

Right now I don't know what love is nor what to love. My wife. My kids. Bill.

I just needed some time alone. Some time to soak in all that. I excused myself from the dinner table and said I needed to take a bath. My wife says "Well make sure you get some restate relaxation sweetheart, you look like you've had a long day at work." I love her. Or do I? That's something I'll question when I'm in the bath. I just smile and walk away.

I run the bath water and strip. I sit there not turning the water off. Just me and my mind. I start to think about him and then my wife. I feel a sense of lust when I think about him. But when it's my wife, I feel, nothing. No intimacy. No lust. Just a black hole that's just eating my feeling while planning my future. Me, just sitting, doing my normal job. Then me with grandchildren. Don't get me wrong, all this would be amazing. But only if it was with the person I desired to be with. I get an interruption from the hole when I hear a knock on the door.

"Brad? Are you alright in there? The waters starting to come out here in the bedroom." Karen says while trying to open the door. I didn't notice that the water was overflowing. "I'm fine I just was starting to fall asleep I guess." I start to turn the water off when I here a few loud bangs. "Karen, is everything alright? I told you I'm fine you don't have to keep knocking." But she never answered back. I was starting to get concerned so I went to get a towel. After I dried off a bit I opened the door.

There she is, laying on the floor, dead.

{Hello
So this was an interesting and intense chapter to write. I'm not a professional so don't judge.
