In the last chapter something happen over the phone with Sofia's mom. Brandon wanted to know is going on and she doesn't want to say anything.
So since close to the neighborhood can you tell me what is going on? Brandon asked. Well my mom just told me that we needed to have a family meeting about you know, if we going to move or not. Yeah. okay. Well my mom and dad made a decision, and now they are just waiting for me to come home and tell me. Okay. Why they couldn't say something over the phone? Asked Brandon. Hey Mom. Hey Dad, I am home. Hi honey, please sit down. okay. What up? Are we moving? No we are not moving, but I am afraid that you won't spend time with your friends this summer. What does that mean? We aren't moving so why would I not get to spend time with my friends this summer? Well honey your Grandmother said that she didn't want us to move in with her because she knows how much you love living here and so we made the decision that she will be going to live in the Sky Bird Neighborhood and a friend would go and help out watching her. Okay. Wait Sky Bird is the next neighborhood down right? Yes, Why? Well if that is the case I can go everyday after school and help her out. Well you can do that or... Or what? Or just focus on your school. Well mom I want to help out if grandma is going to live closer. Okay if you want to. Yes mom. But this still doesn't explain why I can't spend time with my friends this summer? Well me and you are going down their and helping her out getting ready to move. That is going to take a whole two months. Well yes honey. Well okay I guess that sounds better than I thought so... So what honey? How am I going to tell the girls and Brandon? You can just tell them the true. My dad said. Well dad it just that, me, and...I don't know what to say. Well Sofia just tell them that you will be in Atlanta for a month and a half, and then the rest of the time you will help bring things to her new house okay. Well that seems better than what I would have said. Okay I am going to tell them. I going up stairs is that okay? Sure sweet heart, we just don't want you mad about anything.
