-Faith's P.O.V-

As we stop on the house driveway and get out of the house. "I need you to do me a favor and not tell my mom I lost control of my magic." I told him pleadingly.

If my mom finds out I lost control, I will never hear the end of it. "Why not? It means something." he said beside me.

"My mom is overprotective and if she finds out, she will give me a lecture on how to use my powers. It can go on for hours and give her worry that she does not need a weight on her shoulders." I explained to him. I took out my keys and opened the door. "So will you?"

"Okay, darling, but next time I won't cover." he agrees, following me inside, looking a bit hesitant yet convinced. I heard footsteps behind me and turned around to see my mom with a serious look on her face.

"Hey, mom, what happened?" I asked her, smiling. Her face did not change. "Anything you want to tell me about your day at school today?" she asked me with a raised eyebrow and that look in her eyes that screams 'BUSTED' but I play dumb.

"Nope." I pop the P and shift on my feet. "Everything is normal." I continue not wanting her to know what happened. She may get mad and as much as I love my mom hearing her daily pep talks bores me.

"Don't lie. The sudden and strong wind we all felt was normal? Like a casual wind?" her sarcasm reeking of her words was like putting me against the wall with a sword to my throat.

Did it feel all the way here? I thought it was only in school. "You felt it?" I asked innocently.

"I think everybody did. What happened?" her hand lays down on my arm and I bite my bottom lip. It was a dumb reason to le myself out of control, but still, she'd make it a big deal.

"Good luck darling." said Kol, leaving us.

I sighed, putting my bag on the table and walked over to the living room. "Answer me, Faith. What happened?" said my mom sternly behind me.

"What do you want me to tell you, mom? I lost control again and I don't know what's going on. It's been happening lately." once in the living room, I noticed how the others hadn't shown up. Probably wanting to give us privacy, but surely overhearing with their heightened abilities.

"When something like this happens, you need to tell me so I can help you." she told me concerned.

"I know, but I thought I could control it." I look down embarrassed. This only shows how I'm not ready to walk around without that ring.

"You're still young, meaning you still need to practice." she says to me as she rubs my back. "I know. Anyways, my ring hasn't been working." I said raising my hand to show her the piece of jewelry.
