Circles - Chapter 7

"... And yeah. That's the story of my hedgehog." I said.

The boys laughed loudly. After lots of story telling, messing about and laughing, we arrived.

My jaw dropped in sync with Violet's as we pulled up to what looked like a mansion.

"You two look like a pair of fish." Said Nash, laughing at our gaping mouths.

We snapped them shut, and Violet gave him a sarcastic smile.

"Cute fish, though." He said with a wink.

Colour rose to Violet's cheeks, as she opened the car door to get her bags. Hayes and Nash went to help her, so that left Cameron and I in the car.

I yawned loudly, putting my head back against the seat.

"Travelling's tiring isn't it?" Said Cameron, turning to look at me.

"Well," I replied, checking the time on my phone, "it's the middle of the night in London." I felt my smile go down.

"What is it?"

"London." I sniffed, not wanting sympathy.

"I'm sorry babe." He turned and put a hand on my knee.

"Don't be." I put my hand on top of his.

"I feel like it's my fault though... If it weren't for us, you'd still be home."

I rubbed his hand, "It's for the best. Plus, you're not all bad." I winked at him.

"And neither are you babe." He smiled back at me.

We locked eyes. I felt my insides go warm and the electricity was back. It tingled me all over.

He smiled at me. I smiled back.

And then...

One word. Nash.

He knocked loudly on the car windows with his knuckles.

"Come on, London!"

I opened the door, climbing out.

"London?" I laughed at him.

"Ya, Nash likes nicknames." Said Cameron getting out the car.

I raised my eyebrows at him, "So what's Violet's nickname then?"

"Vi," he said, "or Letti." He giggled.

I cracked up, "She's not gonna like Letti! And you're too late, I've been calling her Vi since we were 4."

"Damn." He said, "Sneaky".

I laughed again.

"Why London?" I asked

"Just cause I dunno what to shorten Brooklynn to." He shrugged.

"How about Brooke, genius."

He laughed, "Okay. But I still like London."

I rolled my eyes, and hit him lightly.

"Come on kids! Stop yip-yapping!" Shouted my Dad from the porch of the insanely massive house / Queen's mansion.

"We're not kids, Dad! I'm of legal drinking age, remember?!" I yelled back.

He laughed loudly, and went inside the house. Chuck and Lola's house was next to ours, Cameron's was opposite, and Nash & Hayes' was on the other side of ours. Shawn lived a few streets away, and after hugging us goodbye and exchanging numbers with Violet and I, he left to go home.

"Uhh what?" Said Cameron, coming up to me, "you're 21?"

"What?!" I said, louder than I should've, "Do I look 21 to you?!"

"No no no, that's not what I meant. You said you're of legal drinking age?" He said, puzzled.

"Ya, I'm 16." I said back, "Legal drinking age in England, honey."

"Ohhhhhhh." He said, dragging bags over to our porch.

Nash went over to Violet's, to show them around. Oscar came over to me.

"Come on, freak, Dad's waiting." He said, tugging my shirt.

"Get off me you shit." I said, slapping his hand away.

He stuck his tongue out at me, and turned to Cameron.

"She's a fiesty one. Don't get on her bad side, mate." He directed at Cameron.

"Haha thanks man. I'll try not to."

"Oscar, by the way."

"Cameron. Or Cam."

I left them to their 'bro conversation' and went up to the house.

Violet's POV

After being shown around my massive new house, Nash and I made our way over to Brooke's.

The door was left open, so we went in. We saw Aimee in the living room, and she told us Brooke was probably in her room.

The house was the same size as ours, and had the same layout and floor plan. Nash knocked on the first door we came to.

Oscar's voice rang out, "Yuuup?" He was putting his clothes in the closet, "Hey guys. Suppose you're looking for Brooke's room?"

"Ya." Said Nash.

"Last one at the end of the corridor."

We made our way down the corridor, and saw Cameron come out the bathroom.

"Oh hey. She's just in her room."

I nodded and walked into the room, to see Brooke fast asleep on the bed.
