Joey kept walking around the house in a dilemna. He couldn't just leave it like that. It was very possible that Salt Lake city had it's very own vampire coven. Finally making up his mind, he phoned the sheriff.

"Ahh heee haww heee haaaw, " Mr. Carmen laughed, as Joey recited the events that unfolded that day. "Joey, you are a riot. "

The Trucks lived in the forest.

They didn't run run. They ran super fast.

Mrs. Truck had blood smeared all over her mouth.

The son had super reflex reactions.

Joey threatened to hang up if the sheriff didn't stop laughing.

Unable to compose himself, Mr. Carmen managed to choke out a few words. "The Trucks are famous for meat. They are the number one butchers in the city."

"That doesn't explain how they run fast, or their super reflex reactions," Joey argued.

Mr. Carmen shook his head. "You don't know much about hunting, do you? You need to be more alert if you want to catch those animals."

"Oh. Right, " Joey said, not knowing what to say.

"It's been a long time. Why don't we catch up? Besides I'm an ex sheriff man. I've started a new job. I'm a basketball coach."

Joey's eyes bulged. "Basketball?"

"Yep. $50 an hour, " Mr. Carmen said, casually.

"I was considering asking you to teach me. But I would rather take you on your offer for buying me coffee, " Joey said.

Mr. Carmen started to say something but stopped. He figured Joey was still without a job. It would be embarrassing for him if he were to ask him about it. Instead he decided to help him out.

After an hour of catching up, and drinking their capacionos, Mr. Carmen gave him a proposal.

"Why don't you come by the basketball ground? I'm training a girl independently now. She could do with a fresh oponent. Are you busy?"

"Nah, I'll come with you."

A few blocks later, they reached the ground. No one was there yet, so they went to the Recreation room to get a couple of basketballs.

"Before she comes, I need to give you a proposal. She's my prized student. I'm giving you a one time offer only. If you manage to beat her, I'll train you, and get you on the NBA. I have connections. Also remember, she's ten years old. But do NOT underestimate her."

Joey contemplated. It seemed a very minute chance that he would become an assassin, seeing as to how his previous encounters had been. A straight ticket into the NBA? No way was he letting that change go. "Okay, you are on, " he grinned.
