Best Friends

Y/N's POV:

Today's the first day of 8th grade, and I have to say, I'm a little nervous. I'm glad I have my best friends going with me: Braden, AKA Corl, Denis, Alex, Elijah, AKA Sketch, and Sub (no one knows his real name XD). We've all been best friends since, well, FOREVER! Maybe, with their help, I can make it through the first day of 8th grade.

Corl's POV:

Today's the day; the first day of 8th grade. I'm already at the bus stop with Denis, but I'm still waiting for Sketch, Alex, Sub, and y/n. Oh good, there's everyone else. I'm glad that they didn't miss the bus! "Hey everyone," I say. "Are you guys excited for 8th grade?," Denis asks. I glance around at the group, and I immediately notice that y/n looks sick. "Are you okay, y/n?," I ask. She looks at me with a forced smile. "Yeah, I'm just.....you know what, it's gonna be great!," She says forcefully. "Alright.....if you say so." Sketch adds in. "Yeah, I guess you're right," Alex shrugs. Denis just lightly smiles. Sub looks around and says, "I really hope so." I silently agree.

Denis's POV:

Man, the whole group looks really fearful! It isn't that big of a deal! Just another year of school. I kinda get why their all so nervous, but that shouldn't interfere with how much fun this year's gonna be! "Why don't we....." I start, before the bus pulls up. Shoot! Missed my chance! We all pile onto the bus, and I really hope that they feel better by the time we get to school.

Sketch's POV:

We're on the bus now. Sub and I are sharing a seat, y/n and Corl are sharing a seat, and Denis and Alex are sharing a seat. I can see y/n and Corl watching a vine video on her phone. I wish I could watch a vine video right now, but I left my phone at home (I'm actually watching a vine video as I write this XD)! I have a theory; I think Corl likes y/n, but he's too afraid to tell her. Hmph! I'd tell her if it were me!

Corl's POV: 

I'm sharing a seat with y/n on the bus. She took out her phone and started watching vines, so I asked for an earbud. Why am I so afraid to tell her how I feel? We've been friends since we were born, so it shouldn't be that hard! 8th grade is so complicated! Two minutes in, and I'm already starting to feel the pressure! I hope today goes well.....
