I gotta find her! I didn't mean to hurt her.....
Time Skip
Harper's POV:
"Harper, wait a minute!," yells the running Corl. I'm sprinting to get away from him. I don't want to talk!
"NO, LEAVE ME ALONE!," I yell back, exhausted. Ugh, I gotta sit, but I can't.
"Come on, I just wanna talk!," he yells. "Just stop for a minute! Please!" I slow to a speed walk.
"Leave me alone! I don't wanna talk!," I sputter. He pushes beside me.
"Please, we need to talk," he gasps. I start walking, instead of speed walking.
"What?," I ask.
"I'm sorry about yesterday. Really, I didn't mean to hurt you, I just....." he trails off. I raise my eyebrows. He rubs the back of his neck and looks down.
"I didn't tell her yet," I say. He looks shocked.
"Y-you didn't?," he stutters. I nod. "It wasn't what it looked like, you know." I nod again. He smiles. I smile back.
