Zach stood before Kessley, absolutely baffled.

Kessley crossed her arms and smirked. "Why are you still staring?"

Zach turned completely around, his face redder than before. "Uh, okay. Im going to close my eyes and pretend I didnt see you."

Kessley rolled her eyes and put her clothes on. "I swear, humans are so unpredictable sometimes."

Zach raised his eyebrows, his eyes still shut tightly. "And you are not a human?"

Kessley smiled. "I guess you would consider me one, but I am a wolf at heart. Im forever a part of the pack."

Zach smiled. "Dude, you were raised by wolfs?"

Kessley huffed. "I have a name, you know."

Zachs smile faded. "Sorry, Skull Face.

Kess rolled her eyes. "Its not that either. And no. I wasnt."

"Then whyd you say you were a wolf at heart?"

"Maybe I felt like it!"

"Look," Kessley stated.

Zach opened his eyes and turned back around.

"I have a life to live. I have food to provide. I have a family. Call me Skull Face if you wish, but I can not trust anyone."

Zach sighed. "Darn. I thought we could be friends." He gave a small smile to her.

Kess smirked. "I dont need friends. I have plenty."

"Oh? Like the wolves?"

Kess rolled her eyes.

"Also, you kissed me on the cheek." He stated blandly.

"I felt bad for you."

Zach laughed hard. Kess had to admit, he had a nice laugh. She wanted to laugh at it herself, but this was not the time. She was annoyed with him.

"How so?" He asked with a grin.

"Listen, Id love to chat," Kess told him, gathering her paint she left beside the lake."But you have to go. Like, now."

"Do you live here?" He asked.

"No. I dont. Now leave." She pushed him along.

Zach raised his hands. "Alright, Alright! Ill go." He began to walk away.

Kess sighed happily. Finally.

He turned once more. "Oh, and Skull Face?"

She rolled her eyes for what felt like the millionth time. "What is it?"

"I hope to see you again sometime." He smiled softly. "I wont tell anyone about you being here and your wolf family. I promise."

Kessley blushed. "Oh."

Zach jogged off beyond the trees till she couldnt see him anymore.

Kess rubbed her arm and sat on the warm grass.

Wait!

Kess stood up suddenly.

Wait a moment!

He found her home! He knows her secret! He could tell anyone!

Yes, he had agreed not to tell a soul, but promises are easily broken all the time! How was she to know if he would keep it?

"Trust no one." Kessley breathed.

Never again. Never again!

This Zach kid was trouble. She could feel it in her cold wolf heart.
