She said that old age is what kills you, but I believe that it's your lifestyle choices.
So, I've done research on the oldest human ever and Jeanne Calment came up. She's said to live 177 years apparently, so let's dive deeper into the topic.
So, age is said to weaken your immune system, but I'm going to list other things that weaken it.
#1. STRESS. Stress can cause premature brain aging and weaken your immune system.
#2. POOR HEALTH CHOICES. A poor diet, A.K.A. overeating or eating too many processed foods can destroy your kidney and/or your heart, and you CAN get diabetes from that.
#3. ALCOHOL. Alcohol can destroy SO MANY of your organs that it's not even funny, and excessive Alcohol can DESTROY your white blood cells, which can cause you to get diseases more easily.
#4. LACK OF SLEEP. During your sleep, your immune system releases proteins which help you sleep. Certain types of these proteins need to increase when you have an infection or sickness or when you're stressed. Sleep deprivation can prevent you from getting these proteins and therefore can make you sick.
#5. OBESITY. Almost 30% of the world's population is obese(that's 2.1 billion people). Of course, as above when I talked about health choices, this has many paths it can take you down UNLESS you turn around and walk.
#6. INACTIVITY. When you exercise, your blood flows faster and your lungs contract faster to get your more air. Exercise may seem awful to you and that you should only do it when you're fat, but actually exercise is good for you in both of those ways.
#7. EXCESSIVE USE OF MEDICINE. This, THIS can SERIOUSLY WEAKEN YOUR IMMUNE SYSTEM. FRICKING HECK! NO MORE NEEDED.
