Brad opened his eyes slowly, feeling a sharp pain in his head - the pain of his first hangover. He slowly sat up, looking around himself. He was in Kit's bed room? He thought to himself. He couldn't remember anything from after entering the club, except for drinking that damn drink. He felt stupid for drinking - something he had made a promise with himself that he wouldn't do before he was legally allowed to.
Kit had woken up earlier, and had gone upstairs to his family. Explaining what happened last night. He felt so quilty for not telling them what happened that his quilt had taken over him. His parents hadn't been that mad at him, but they ended up with calling Brad's father - which Kit wasn't too excited to tell Brad.
After talking to his parents, Kit had made his way downstairs again. When he entered the room, he noticed Brad was awake. His hair all messed up, not that Kit minded it exactly. Kit had started developing some strange feelings towards the blonde boy lately. He sort of thought this might be one of the few reasons why this weird tension had build its self between the two boys. No, he hadn't told him about the feelings - but maybe he had acted differently? Lets hope not.
"Hey, how are you feeling?" Kit asked the younger boy, who looked very tired. Brad sighed - he felt awfull. In every possible way. "Like crap to be honest" He muttered. Kit let out a small laugh. "Doesn't surprise me. To be the first time you drink, you definitely drank enough."
Brad laughed an nervous laugh, and looked everywhere but at Kit. He was embarrassed over the fact that he had gotten himself drunk last night. How stupid of him, so fricking stupid of him. He was just so sick of everything. The alcohol gave him hope. It made him happy for once.
Kit sighed and sat down on the edge of the bed, looking at his best friend with a worried expression. Brad was his best friend - the one he could trust with anything, and the way he has been acting lately worries him a lot.
"Brad, I just want to say--" Kit scratched his neck awkwardly before he continued "-- that I'm here for you. It's okay if you don't want to talk about it, but just know that I'm always here" Brad felt his eyes become watery. He had made his best friend worried - he had fucked up. Again.
"T-thanks Kit. I know, but I'm fine - I promise." Brad stuttered out - he wasn't sure if anyone would believe that, not even himself, but he hoped Kit would let it go anyway.
Kit didn't believe it at all, but decided to let it go for now and nodded. Hell, the boy was dealing with his first hangover right now - he doesn't need to be drowned in deep talk and questions. Kit got up from the bed, bending down to ruffle Brad's hair, before he straightened up - wearing an serious, but also nervous expression on his face.
"Then there were the other thing I wanted to tell you--" Kit started but didn't get long, he just couldn't. He did his best at avoiding Brad's curious gaze, though it was hard.
Brad felt himself getting nervous - did he say something stupid last night? Oh god. He couldn't help but to overthink it, like he usually did. "P-please just say it, you are worrying me Kitty" He mumbled, also avoiding Kit's eyes that was now on him for the first time since he stod up from the bed.
"-- I told mum and dad what happened, and they called your father - I'm so sorry Brad!" Brad froze, knowing exactly how is father was.
His mother were a alcoholic - After she died, his father came obsessed about the fact that Brad wasn't to start drinking untill he was legally allowed-- At Least. He always told him that he wasn't allowed to ever drink as long as he lived under his roof.
Brad bit his lip, an habit he had for every time he started feeling nervous. Kit felt immediately bad for telling his parents. He had betryed his best friend. He did something, even though he knew it would go the wrong way for Brad. He felt a numb feeling inside - like guilt was eating him up.
Their relationship has been so weird and tense the past weeks - after Kit started feeling these strange feeling towards Brad. He didn't think he had shown something was going on with him, but he must have - it wouldn't be like this if not, right? And him telling his parents surely must have ruined their friendship even more.
Kit couldn't bare the thought of losing his best friend. Neither could Brad, but he felt so broken. He had told Kit so many times how his father was when it came to alcohol - still he goes off and tells his parents that he got himself drunk. He knew they would call his dad!
Brad stod up, walking past Kit, not even looking at him. "I'm sorry Brad! I shouldn't have told them!" Kit let out, following close behind him. "Stop it Kit!" Brad hissed, "Just leave it. I'm going home" Kit tried to stop him by taking a hold of Brad's arm but he just shook his arm free from his grasp.
Brad left the house without another word, leaving Kit heartbroken. He had actually lost his best friend.
-
"What did you even think when you went to that damn club?" Brad's father shouted at him. Brad was curled up in a ball on his bed, while his father was standing infront of him - shouting. It wasn't hard to see that his father had lost his temper. Badly.
"I'm sorry father! I promise it wont happen again!" Brad let out - terrified. He couldn't take it when people yelled at him, it was his weakness.
"I have told you countless times that you ain't allowed to drink while you live under my roof!" His father continued, completely ignoring Brad's comment.
Kit on the other hand, was on his way over to Brad's house. Firstly, he needed to apologize, and secondly, he needed to see how mad Brad's father actually was. When he came to the front door and was about to knock on the door he heard yelling.
He decided to just open the door instead of knocking - no one would probably open the door anyway. He knew it was Brad's father who were yelling, he could hear it, and Brad wasn't the yelling type anyway so it couldn't be him.
Kit made his way upstairs, and over to Brad's room. He opened the door slightly, so he could see what was going on. He saw Brad curled up on the bed, crying his eyes out. His father was standing in front of him, yelling and shouting.
Should he enter the room, or should he just let his father get done? He looked back at Brad again and made his decision - he couldn't stand here and look at his best friend crying and hurting without doing something. He had to make it up to him. He had already fucked up too much.
He bursted through the door, and pushed Brad's father into the wall. "Stop yelling at him!" He yelled into the surprised looking face of Brad's father.
"Kit," Brad let out warningly, knowing where this would go "let dad go"
Kit glanced over at Brad, and then back at the man he had pushed into a wall. He took a deep breath, before leting go of Brad's father. Kit made his way over to Brad, pulling him into a hug. "Are you okay?" He whispered into the younger boy's ear.
Brad nodded, but no - he was far from fine. He didn't know what was going on with him, but he felt so torn up. He had made his father mad and disappointed, he had made himself disappointed and probably worst of all - he had gotten mad at Kit for trying to help.
