Aora's POV

"Wakey, wakey..." I heard a loud whisper that made me cover my ears with a pillow. I was used to those sounds since my father always woke me up early in the morning by saying 'wakey wakey' . It was only a reflex that I covered my ears. I have forgotten where I was and who I am being disrespectful to.

"Do you plan on ignoring me Aora, 'cause that is NOT polite. Did no one ever teach you some manners? C'mon, get up now... " He pulled me by my arm trying to 'sober' me

As soon as I realized it was Pagan Min, the King of Kyrat, I rushed out of the bed before he could drag me out.
He looked at me and mentioned my manners again. All I could do was apologize. So I did:
"I apologize mr. Min. I am not usually like this, my mind needed some rest from yesterday."

"Oh, please don't find any excuses, I know I got it all wrong, but now I can redempt you. That is why I came here early in the morning just to wake you up. Yeah, I'm not much of a morning person too, but lately I realized life is short. And you got to live in the moments. Come on"

He swinged his arm telling me to follow him.
Once we got out of the room, a guard led me to a luxurious and spacious dining room where Ajay was sitting on the head of the table. I sat next to him, and on my opposite was Yuma. Pagan didn't enter the room, but left when the guard showed me the way. It was awkward. At least until Yuma spoke.

"How could Pagan bring such a weakling all the way to the palace?"

"Well he didn't. I got here myself." I responded with confidence. Having flashbacks I realized Ajay will never be able to get to the palace without getting hurt.

"Whatever, you are not welcome here" She spoke again before Pagan interrupted her

"Don't listen to her, you are very welcome here. Consider it your new home." He chuckled while walking towards the table

Ajay's POV

"Sabal she's been gone for days now without calling back to us. Was this really necessary??"

"Ajay I'm telling you, this is the only way of stopping Pagan. He's been overpowering us for days, months... Trust my instincts, imagine yourself being in my position."

"Sabal, I am in the worse position than you are!! Aora is out there, helpless on her own. Pagan could have killed her already... And what can I do!? Huh!?? All I can do is pretend that everything is going to go as planned. We already failed once. Until I found her, I was just some weak man who was trying to figure out who he is. Please think of her like I do."
I realized how much I needed someone as strong as her to be a part of my life...

Aora's POV

After dinner he took me outside of the palace

"Aora, do you not remember me..? Pagan asked with a worried voice

"Wha-what do you mean? He noticed my struggling so he tried to help me. Offering me his hand, he led me to his helicopter, ordering his pilot to take off.
Weirdly, it was like the pilot knew where to go. Less than 5 minutes past, and we were somewhere else completely. The white mountains took my breath away, along with a huge lake full with wild animals surrounding it. Once we had grass under our feet, I felt a flash of memories fog my vision.

Imagination took over me. Suddenly I felt Pagan hold my waist from behind. I turned around and he was younger, a lot. His hair was different, but his pink suit was so bright it distracted me from studying the differences on him. His grip got tighter as he lifted me up in the air, like I was a feather. My face became red and a big smile showed up as I was enjoying the view of the snow leveling with the ground. Snowflakes were shivering, but they suddenly stopped. Everything stopped. I looked deeply into Pagan's eyes and felt comfort. I was feeling safe in his arms. My hands, they were small like kid's hands. It was a memory from long time ago.

I sighed as my vision slowly came back to me.
I found myself spread out on the grass, with just me and the sky. No worries were taking over me. I even forgot about Pagan. Few minutes passed as I turned around trying to remember something. I realized he was gone, along with his helicopter. Emptiness fulfilled me as I thought of Ajay. I was completely alone with wild life surrounding me. I wanted to cry but I couldn't waste my energy, since I had to be focused of coming back to Ajay, Sabal... Amita, the whole Golden path. But than I realized that by doing that, I was going to ruin the mission and dissapoint them all. My will for getting back to the residence of Pagan became stronger.

I thought more of myself once I remembered where I was. Pagan wouldn't leave me here to starve. He wanted me to remember, to remember our past, the way back to the palace.

A strange feeling took over me. I suddenly knew where Pagan was and where I was. But my memories from that place couldn't refresh. I stayed empty inside.

Ajay's POV

*What was that?* I thought once the feeling of a new, but somehow old memory flashed before my eyes.

To be continued...
